"Remind Me (Someone Else's Remix Radio Edit)" as written by Torbjorn Brundtland, Svein Berge and Erlend Otre Oeye....
It's only been a week
The rush of being home and rapid fading
I fell into a call
But I was missing all that time in England

I send the aimless sleep
Unfettered by the help of transportation
To knock on windows where
A friend no longer live I had forgotten

And everywhere I go
There's always something to remind me
Of another place and time
Where love had traveled far and found me
We stayed outside til two
Waiting for the light to come back
I didn't talk I knew
Until you asked what I was thinking
Until you asked what I was thinking

Brave men tell the truth
The wise mans tools are analogies and puzzles
The woman holds her tongue
Knowing silence will speak for her
Brave men tell the truth
The wise mans tools are analogies and puzzles
The woman holds her tongue
Knowing silence will speak for her

Will remind, will remind, will remind me,
Will remind, will remind, will remind me,
Will remind, will remind, will remind me,
Will remind, will remind, will remind me

So now I'll never know,
As you will only sleep beside me,
And everywhere I go

Will remind, will remind, will remind me,
Will remind, will remind, will remind me,
Will remind, will remind, will remind me,
Will remind, will remind, will remind me
Will remind, will remind, will remind me,
Will remind, will remind, will remind me,
Will remind, will remind, will remind me,
Will remind, will remind, will remind me
Will remind, will remind, will remind me,
Will remind, will remind, will remind me,
Will remind, will remind, will remind me,
Will remind, will remind, will remind me

General CommentIt is sweet tunage, but more than that too! This song has depth. Not only is it a sweet and sincere song about a former relationship/lover and its pentimenti with elements that cause remembrance, but further more how one feels when one is in a new relationship after the fact- "So now I'll never know,/As YOU will only sleep beside me". The song may not be meant towards the old lover, as many would assume, but towards the new lover, so that they themselves are aware of a very human instinct, that everyone remembers the past. Any other thoughts toward "Remind Me" would be much appreciated to a very much under-appreciated song.

General Commentirrelefunt, i like your comments. Ive sometimes taken a different view on it. To me it tells the story of a love that has been lost. Both feel lost behind a wall of puzzles and silence. Both want to speak their minds but they wait for each other only to find the same old. They keep reaching for a distant emotion that they both once and perhaps still do feel. They haven't given up, they are just still hoping to find that spark. Its not a gloomy outlook, just a period of time where they are both feeling that need for each other but it will take a bit more to find it.

General Commenti think the line is "failing to recall, what i was missing all that time in england" not "prevailing"

i found another way to look at this song. i live with my boyfriend in the uk where i study and i dont get to see my family and old school friends until i go back home for the holidays. this summer i was really looking forward to going back and seeing everyone, but once i arrived i realized i missed living with my boyfriend and going home to him, and even though i was really excited to see everyone and having a good time, i still felt a bit lost knowing he was half a world away...
i was missing being back home, but when i got back i was always reminded of how nice it was before.

haha i dont think im explaining this very well, but that's the way i see it. the "brave men tell the truth" verse even related to me trying to explain to my boyfriend without seeing him face to face and the miscommunication (if that is a word) and the frustration because sometimes i can just be silent and he'll understand, but that's not how it works on msn is it.

    lovely lovely song
