Hello
I'll press my lips to yours to explain
Sporadically use my tongue to reiterate
In the form of an oxygen dream I'm dying to breathe you deeply

Someday someday I'll have to turn and walk away
To find my place I'll search this whole world over
But everything I am you've got it, you've got it
And I will return I swear it, I swear it

Though I am gone I'm still right here
Just like I've been for twenty-one years
And it's all I that I know how to be
I promise don't worry about me

Someday someday I'll have to turn and walk away
To find my place I'll search this whole world over
But everything I am you've got it, you've got it
And I will return I swear it, I swear it

I'll return to you the day your hope is frayed at all the ends
I'll cauterize your hand in mine and never let go

Someday someday I'll have to turn and walk away
To find my place I'll search this whole world over
But everything I am you've got it, you've got it
And I will return I swear it, I swear it

    Song Meaning

Brandon says it is about when he was with this girl and was getting ready to go on tour.. he wanted to let her know that he wants to be there but this is his opportunity and he has to go for it.. And if it leads him to where he cant return he wants her to understand.

i've always understood the lyrics as "i'll return to you the day your hope is frayed at all the ends i'll cauterize your hand in mine and never let go"

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
