"Flashover" as written by and Howie Beck....
the past, the haze of summer lifted at last
but something else was gone and too fast
where did you go?

the mask she put it on before she had asked
just how to fall in public at last
where did you go?

Jane is on a mission, gonna go with a flashover
burning down into her heart until her love is free
never gonna see the fire until her time is over
burning down into her heart until her love is free

the flash, the saddest sunshine was gone at last
she watched her tears slow-burn through her mask
where did you go?

Jane is on a mission, gonna go with a flashover
burning down into her heart until her love is free
Never gonna see the fire until her time is over
Burning down into her heart until her love is free

Jane is on a mission, gonna go with a flashover
burning down into her heart until her love is free
Never gonna see the fire until her time is over
Burning down into her heart until her love is free

Burn it down into your heart until her love is free

General CommentI find this new Howie Beck song is very much in the vein of his previous material, beautifully simple in its music & lyrically intriguing. I learned from wikipedia that a "flashover" describes a certain stage of a fire incident, and i think it is a metaphor for the tough(est) part of getting over a lost love. the pain "is burning down into the heart until the love is free" (= until you can let go of that person).

I probably didn't get all the lyrics right here, since the album is not released yet, and i'll have to wait for the liner notes to make some adjustments.
