I'm in Vermont
and I'm thinking of you
Connecticut
and I'm thinking of you

On the road there's nowhere to hide
on the road there's nowhere to hide
on the road there's nowhere to hide.
Believe me I tried.

With eyes like a kaleidoscope,
discord fades into periphery.

Why do you do this?
Why do you do this?
Why do you do this to yourself?

Self medicate to slaughter the hate.
Life's a terminal disease.

Is that why you do this?
Is that why you do this?
Is that why you do this to yourself?

I'm in New York
and I'm thinking of you.
In Vermont
still thinking of you.

Cause on the road there's nowhere to hide.
On the road there's nowhere to hide.
On the road there's nowhere to hide.
Believe me I tried.

General CommentBeing away from a situation that really is difficult to be away from. Missing someone more than anything, wishing they were okay, and really just being unable to cope with it all, especially so far from home.
