"Desire Be, Desire Go" as written by and Kevin Parker....
Feel it come
I don't know how long it's gonna stay with me
I'll let desire be
Desire go

Dare I face the real world

Everyday
Back and forth, what's it for?
What's it for?
Back and forth, everyday
Everyday

Back and forth
What's it for
I don't know
I'll get out, won't have to
Check my watch

I don't have the verve to belong to this dead side
Oh, why I ever tried, I don't know
Oh, dare I face the real world?

Everyday
Back and forth, what's it for?
What's it for?
Back and forth, everyday
Everyday
Back and forth, what's it for?
I don't know, I forget, try to let desire be, desire go

Feel, feel it come, feel it come
I Feel it come
I don't know how long
It's gonna stay with me
I'll let desire be, desire go

Lyrical palindrome! An intentional means of representing "the back and forth"...

Lyric CorrectionYou missed a change in the lyrics following the second "back and forth" part.

The second time he sings it he ends it with "whats it for, i don't know, i forget, try to let desire be, desire go" in contrast to the first time where he sings "I'll get out, won't have to..."

General CommentKevin Parker's voice is so lennon-esque. Hints of Paperback Writer here.

General CommentTo me it sounds more like George Harrison's "Wonderwall" stuff. I love it

General CommentFirst line - "Feel it come" - I thought Kevin was singing "eeh by gum", like a Yorkshireman... :-)
