Head down, as I watch my feet take turns hitting the ground
Eyes shut, I find myself in love racing the earth
And I'm soaked in your love, ahh
And love was right in my path, in my grasp
And me and you belong

I wanna run (run)
And smash into you
I wanna run (run)
And smash into you

Ears closed (closed), what I hear no one else has to know
'Cause I know that what we have is worth first place and gold
And I'm soaked in your love, ahh
And love is right in my path, in my grasp
And me and you belong, oh

I wanna run (run)
Smash into you
I wanna run (run)
Smash into you
Smash into you

(Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa)

Head down, as I watch my feet take turns hitting the ground
Eyes shut, I'm in love and I'm racing the earth
And I'm soaked in your love (your love)
And love is right in my path, in my grasp
And me and you belong

Oh, I wanna run
Smash into you
I'm willing to run (run)
Smash into you

I'm ready to run, run, run, run, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
I'm ready to run, run, run, run, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh

And I wanna run, run
And smash into you
I'm willing to run, run
Smash into you

I think it's about a girl giving up everything to fight for her one true love 'cause she's certain that they really belong to each other.

Beyoncé has the prettiest album...it's a shame they don't play this song on the radio. But heck, I would play her entire CD on the radio if I was a DJ.

    losing her virginity? thats dumb.

its about loving and letting go enough and being willing to fall in love.

I agree with lennox4. I think when she says 'ears closed, what I hear no one else has to know' relates to her own thoughts and what she is hearing herself say. She could be telling herself that she loves this person so much and is willing to smash into them - to be noticed - yet she doesn't want anyone else to know/find out. She is willing to make an impact on them so she can be loved just as she wants to be.

    My Interpretation

this is a beautiful song. Such a wonderful song to confess your love for someone!

personally my own interpretation of this song is of someone walking down the aisle towards their other half on their wedding day and feeling like they just want to run and smash into them and live for the rest of their lives together !

I absolutely love this song. Love doesn't even begin to describe it, actually. It's just so unbelievably beautiful. The lyrics, the melody, everything about it is perfect. The meaning is quite simple and straightforward; loving someone so much that you just want to smash into them and be with them for the rest of your life.

I love the line "Im soaked in your love" such a pretty song. I like Beyonces cover better, but everyone should listen to the original by Jon Mclaughlin called "Smack Into You".

    My Opinion

"I wanna run (run) and smash into you..."

"I'm willing to run (run), smash into you..."

I think it meant that she's willing to lose her virginity to the man she loves.

    My Opinion

I think in the beginning, she's in denial. she's scared and she feels like she's lost. But towards the ending of the song, she realizes she IS in love

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
