Everything's always better
Whenever I'm at rest
I'm wound up tighter than
A dried up bird's nest

And it's the truth you know
That's always the issue
But when it starts getting blurry
One's never better than two

There's a place in this world
Where people like me are found by people like you (fall in love with people like you)
So find that place as this forever divine

Oh yeah, you're the best damn friend that I'll ever have
You'll always smile upon me when the season's bad
You'll always make me feel best even when I'm blue
You'll always smile upon me and I'll smile upon you, too

I don't know what I need now
Since everything has changed
And if I do know one thing
It's me who's feeling strange

'Cause everything is different
And I don't react well
To changes that come when
Your life's becoming hell

There's a place in this world
Where people like me are found by people like you (fall in love with people like you)
So find that place as this forever divine

Oh yeah, you're the best damn friend that I'll ever have
You'll always smile upon me when the season's bad
You'll always make me feel best even when I'm blue
You'll always smile upon me and I'll smile upon you, too

kids, let's not get mean...60 miles was just making putting thoughts out there; no need to say she sucks. I don't agree with her, either, but you don't have to react to it or even think about it if you find it offensive.

it works as either a best friend or a partner song, I think. it makes me think of both my best friend & my boyfriend, and going through the course of any kind of relationship. like HopeSoForYou said, it was meant as an apology-type song. people mess up with both their friends & their partners. & personally I kind of like the circling sound, makes it feel so much happier & lighter.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
