"Shangri-La" as written by and M. Ward....
Up on the sun, this time tomorrow
Fly, walk, or run
But this time no sorrow

First stop ?
Next stop, Shangri-La
And I cannot wait to see
The expression on the face of
My sweet Lord

And back on the trail
By this time tomorrow
By foot, wheel, or sail
But this time no sorrow

Bus stop, ?
Next stop, Shangri-La
And I cannot wait to see
The expression on the face of
My sweet Lord

No I cannot wait to hear you call
My name

And forget-me-not
This time tomorrow
I gave all I got
But this time no sorrow

First stop ?
Next stop, Shangri-La
And I cannot wait to see
The expression on the face of
My sweet Lord

No I cannot wait to hear you call
My name

    I believe this line is:

"And back on the trail this time tomorrow, by foot, wheel, or sail, but this time no sorrow"

General Comment"This Time Tomorrow" and "Shangri-La" are two of the very best Kinks songs, and "My Sweet Lord" is a single from George Harrison's triple album 'All Things Must Pass.' Surely M. Ward has spent time with them all.

'Up On The Sun' is a Meat Puppets song, and also a Meat Puppets album. I suspect Ward is a fan; I know he likes some other SST stuff.

Seems like Ward might have been having fun constructing a song out of other song titles, and adding his own connective tissue. There might be some other references in there too. Anyone?
