"I Fell In Love With A Ghost" as written by and Rowland Howard Lydia Lunch....
I fell in love with a ghost
He's just a shadow of his former self
I fell in love with a ghost
She's just a shadow of the past

The very first day of ever before we ever began
The light through the pipes in the back of a trunk
Strings to my back it snaps just like a puppet

It never happens to you
It always happens to me

Stuck in the wall
Holed up in the wall, destructive
Do you really think there's any getting out of this?
Boys in the night who scream in their delerium
All in a row and incidently they've stopped
Begin to inhale and you and up addicted

Like the scent of fire pine right to the bone
Casket covered with roses that's the way its going
Hollowed out open to the bone
Strings to my back it snaps just like a puppet

It never happens to you
It always happens to me

General CommentA woman is friends with a nice clean-cut boy.
She then ditches him to live freely.
But her new friends prove unkind, and the world around her sucks.
So she loves the memory of this boy she used to be just friends with.
She knows is she ever meets him again she'll not be so stupid this time.
She has sex with all the guys she now knows but gets no intimacy, just momentary pleasure.
She wishes she could have a second chance at the calm, beautiful life that at the time she thought
    Would be too boring.
