"Another Song About the Weekend" as written by Thomas H Jr Denney, Alexander Thomas Shelnutt, Jeremy Wade Mckinnon, Neil S Westfall, Joshua Steven Woodard, Thomas H Jr Denney, Alexander Thomas Shelnutt, Jeremy Wade Mckinnon, Neil...
They keep playing sad songs on the radio
And I feel like I'm so alone
On this fifteen hour drive
And all awhile I tell my self to just believe
Cause nobody can give so much
And never get anything
(never get anything)

Everyone I use to know
She said I know when ill be calm
But I'm still the same
I know what you say
I still know where I came from

I fell asleep with the lights on
I can see your the first one in a long time.
That had some faith in me
(have faith in me)
I tell my friends, it wont be long
Before it's time for me to come back home
It feels like I'm ready for anything
If you can wait for me.

In all the while I say to much of what I think
And I can't remember what it's like to find meaning in anything
For the life of me
Everyone I use to know
She said I know when I'll be calm
But I'm still the same
Not matter what you say
I still know where I came from

And all I ever wanted was so far from what I need
I'll write my songs so sing along I know time heals everything

I fell asleep with the lights on
I can see your the first one in a long time.
That had some faith in me
(have faith in me)
I tell my friends, it wont be long
Before it's time for me to come back home
It feels like I'm ready for anything
If you can wait for me.

This is all I have!
This is all I have!
Its my life
This is all I have!
This is all I have!

I fell asleep with the lights on
I can see your the first one in a long time.
That had some faith in me
(have faith in me)
I tell my friends, it wont be long
Before it's time for me to come back home
It feels like I'm ready for anything
If you can wait for me.

General CommentTo me, This song is about feeling alone in general even though you try so hard, then finding the one person who believes in you and can wait for you to do what you need, before your life can go back to normal.

General CommentGood song, just one little correction you should make, He says "I told my friends we wont be long, the Florida sun begs me to come back home"

General CommentThe correct lyrics are "The Florida sun begs me to come back home." NOT "Before its time for me to come back home."
ADTR is originally from Ocala Fl.
    ^
Anyone who knows ADTR knows that.

    Fave band, ever. <3

General CommentThis song reminds me of my friend so much that just left on his mission for our church. We live in a hell hole of a town in AZ, and we got judged left and right, because we weren't your typical kids you'd find in this place. We would drive around aimlessly for hours listening to ADTR ad UnderOATH, and we spoke what we meant (unlike the majority of people here) we would call out fakes, and that upset people here haha. And my friend that left was basically the head of our group. And since he left, things have changed a lot. The first verse and chorus hits home with me, because we're the only people that have faith in each other around here. Everyone else thinks we are insane, but we DGAF. And we're dying for him to come back home. No joke, if ADTR came from here, we would have been the kids they hungout with haha.
