I'm getting lost in your curls
I'm drawing pictures on your skin, so soft it twirls
I like your looks when you get mean
I know I shouldn't say so but when you claw me like a cat
I'm beaming

I like the way you squeeze my hand
Pulling me into another dream, a lucid dream
I'm getting lost in your curls
I'm getting crushed out on the things that only I should see
They're not for boys, they're just for me, hurry to talk from far away

I can see you, you curl your fists and you pull your hair
When we're alone I wanna say
Let's just stay in, no one's here in our apartment, babe

Put on the dress that I like
It makes me so crazy though I can't say why
Keep on your stockings for a while
Some kind of magic in the way you're lying there

I'm getting lost in your curls
I'm getting rushed back on a whim, our breaths get wind
Back to the time when we were green
I know we have changed but I still grin 'cause I can't wait to see you

Back to the time I touched your hair
When I was so scared to look that mean, I think it's weird

I'm getting lost in your curls
I'm getting crushed out on the things that only I should see
They're not for boys, they're just for me
Girl, we could talk far away

It's so hard for me only to get the urge to kiss you there
When we're alone I wanna say
Let's just stay in, no one's here in our apartment, babe

Put on the clothes that I like
It makes me so crazy though I can't say why
Keep on your stockings for a while
Some kind of magic in the way you're lying there

Put on your clothes that I like
It makes me so crazy though I can't say why
Keep on your stockings for a while
Some kind of magic in the way you talk about your

Blue eyeshadow, it's not exactly blue, no
And if you too call it anything but your blue

General CommentThe instrumentation on this song reminds me of the Zora's Palace in Zelda.

General CommentDo they ever make you so happy at times, you just want to melt into a puddle?
It's such an incredibly beautiful song.
Once again, they managed to illustrate love verbally...without once using the word "love." The imagery associated with this song makes me glow.

General CommentI think on the part where it says, "Back to the time I touched your hair
When I was so scared to look that mean, I think it's weird"
I think it should be, "Back to the time I touched your hair
When I was so scared you'd look at me, and think its weird."

    I like the way you squeeze my hand;
pulling me into another dream, a lucid dream.

I'm getting lost in your curls.
I'm getting crushed out on the things
    that only I should see;
they're not for other boys, they're just for me.

When you two talk from far away,
I can see you, you curl your fists and you pull your hair.
When we're alone, I wanna say:
“let's just stay in, no one's here in our apartment babe.”

Keep on your stockings for a while.
There’s some kind of magic in the way you're lying there.

I'm getting lost in your curls.
I'm getting rushed back on a whim; our breath gets ribbed.
Back to the time when we were green.
I know we have changed, but I still grin 'cause I can't wait to see you.
    Back to the time I touched your hand;
when I was so scared to look that mean, I think it's weird.

It makes me so crazy, you know I can't say why.
Keep on your stockings for a while.
There’s some kind of magic in the way you talk about your blue eye shadow.
    It's not exactly blue though.
You refuse to call it anything but your blue (heart - ?).

General CommentThis is such a sad song, because it's about Avey and Kria Brekkan's divorce.

    Think about it:

The whole song is a guy watching his sleeping former lover, getting lost in her curls and dreaming of a simpler time when they were still together.

Back when we were green: means the opposite of blue (sad), he's looking back on better times.

She has clearly gotten over him, evinced from the line "I know we have changed
But I still grin 'cause I can't wait to see you".

That's why they've never played it live, and attributed that to something like a "missing sampler"

General CommentI can't get over how many love songs AC can manage to write without ever actually using the word "love."
Yet they manage to be the most meaningful and image-inducing of them all. It's magical.
