"Hello" as written by and Oscar Hammerstein Ii Richard Rodgers....
Once, a long time ago, when we first met
Under bright lights, and the circus tent
With colors and people moving way to fast

Hello, it's so nice to see your face again
Hello, it’s so nice to see you
All good people find one another
Hello, it's so nice

I wouldn't say, I couldn't say
Just how much I needed you to rescue me
I was down and out
In a rabbit hole
Pulled me up and pulled me out
Dragged me from a drug
That made the voices shout
Remember your home
You are home now

Hello, it's so nice to see your face again
Hello, it's so nice to see you

I couldn't stay, I wouldn't stay
In a place that was not meant for me
I was so far out of my head
And my element
I could not be, I would not be
Now that I am home I'm not alone
Living my life right
I can breathe now

Hello, it's so nice to see your face again
Hello, it's so nice to see you
All good people find one another
Hello, it's so nice

Hello, hello, hello, laaaaa
Hello, hello, hello, laaaaa

Hello, it's so nice to see your face again
Hello, it's so nice to see you
All good people find one another
Hello, it's so nice

Hello, hello, hello, laaaaa
Hello, hello, hello, laaaaa
All good people find one another
Hello, it's so nice

General Commenti guess its about meeting people . possibly she met someone who she liked . and wanted romatically . but could not express it . and then she met him again . and it was nice to see him again . haha

General CommentI think she is talking about rekindling a relationship with someone from her past, from a time when she felt herself and had people around who loved and understood her.

At some point, things started changing and she ended up in a situation where she was out of her element (with the wrong group of friends, maybe strung out on drugs, depression, etc.), but something happened where she just wasn't being herself.

Her friend helps her remember who she is, either by just being there for her or else helping her come off drugs. He helps her come "home" as she mentions several times in the lyrics.

The reason I think it might be drugs is because of these lines:
"Dragged me from a drug", "I was so far out of my head", "colors and people moving way too fast"

I prefer to think it was a situation in which she was with the wrong crowd/in a bad place in life, but only because i went through a time like that myself and I can relate :)
