"Listen To Your Friends" as written by Cyrus William Bolooki, Chad Everett Gilbert, Ian R. Grushka, Stephen Lee Klein and Jordan I. Pundik....
I wake up in a waiting room
With the taste of blood and a clouded view
I notice there is a tear in my jeans
The sleeves of my shirt have been ripped from their seams

My memory is a little bit blank
The thought of my name doesn't seem to come back
And I turn and scream, "What am I here for?"
The nurses yell, "You were left at the door"

I'm a stranger, someone left me for dead
And I need to decide what to do next

Oh, just then I found a note in my pocket, it read
I don't ever wanna see you again and I guess
That explains why I can't remember the rest of the night

I should have listened to my friends
I should have listened to them
When they told me you had bad intentions

I remember the string of events
From the dinner receipt when I grabbed your hand
I know that you went in for a kiss
And I told you that's not only what this is

You held me at the end of my seat
And you had that look, the look of defeat
You wish that you could start this over
Instead you left me in a coma

Oh, just then I found a note in my pocket, it read
I don't ever wanna see you again and I guess
That explains why I can't remember the rest of the night

I should have listened to my friends
I should have listened to them
When they told me you had bad intentions

I should have listened to my friends
I should have listened to them
When they told me you had bad intentions

Oh, just then I found a note in my pocket, it read
I don't ever wanna see you again and I guess
That explains why I can't remember the rest of the night, yeah

I should have listened to my friends
I should have listened to them
When they told me you had bad intentions

I should have listened to my friends
I should have listened to them
When they told me you had bad intentions
When they told me you had bad intentions
When they told me you had bad intentions

General CommentI cannot wait for Not Without A Fight. If this song is any indication it'll be amazing; back to the NFG we know and love. Such a catchy tune.

As for the meaning, the chorus really says it all.
"I should have listened to my friends
I should have listened to them when they told me you had bad intentions". Enough said.

My OpinionI really like it for its instrumentals, but (I could just be over-critical) it sounds a little too poppy and I just don't really like how straightforward the lyrics are. Go ahead and scold me, I don't mind.

    General CommentSeanZiii, I'm scolding you.
    Lol, kidding.
Valid point, but I personally disagree about the 'poppyness'
Other songs of there's sound similar to this.
Still, each to their own :]
I love this song and how it tells a story.

'And I turn and scream, "what am I here for?"
The nurses yell, "you were left at the door"
I'm a stranger, someone left me for dead'
    Intense lines.

I always have loved Jordan's voice.

General CommentTo me, this song seems to be a case of someone's friends telling him that some chick isn't right for him, taken to an extreme. They told him not to date her, but he does. She ends up hating him for some reasn and then he apparently get knocked into a coma by her and ends up in a hospital without memory of what happened. I find that hard to believe but that's my interpretation. It would be fairly more believable if Jordan (the singer) meant to be singing from the perspective of a girl and she dated a guy who got pissed and knocked her out. It just seems improbable for a girl to send a guy into a coma hah.

The "I know that you went in for a kiss, and I told you that's not only what this is" leads me to believe that the girl jordan's singing about what just trying to get somewhere with him, but he actually has feelings for her and wants to be with her. And that's why his friends told him "she has bad intentions". So maybe Jordan (since I think he's straight edge like Chad) wouldn't do anything sexual with the girl, she got outraged and violent. I'm probably taking the song too literally. He's probably saying that the girl tried to take advantage of him, and it hurt him emotionally instead of physically.

    Wow hah

General CommentExtremely catchy. Thank God they are not being Emo like the last album. This album is much more uplifting and positive.
