"Parachutes" as written by and Samuel Stephenson Markus Trevor Hall....
Guitar insane, sick in the brain,
Licking the same wounds,
Sit with the same moon
above us.
But were different from the others
Because we share the same pain.
Its mutual, its beautiful.

And all of our tears and all of our fears;
They all come in one form,
and yet we think we're from a different storm.
There ain't no question how.
You've got to realize now
that its mutual, its beautiful

so How long will we continue
to ride this sunken ship?
Cuz I believe, yes, i believe, that we can find the surface.
Even though it seems like this airplane is going down.
Don't be afraid, it will all be okay;
See there are plenty of parachutes to go around.

See for what ever its worth, I never left Earth.
I choked on my own blood
along with my own guns,
surrounded by no one.
And now that I' m gone I still sing my song
and try to keep the children away from all the killing
to show them our new misson
to try to keep some peace in their hearts.

so How long will we continue
to ride this sunken ship?
Cuz I believe, yes, i believe, that we can find the surface.
Even though it seems like this airplane is going down, down, down.
Don't be afraid, it will all be okay;
See there are plenty of parachutes to go around.

parachutes...

    General CommentThis song rings true to me in so many life obstacles.
    The line "Licking the same wounds"! is so strong. Sometimes you're making the same mistake over and over.

    "so How long will we continue
    to ride this sunken ship?
    Cuz I believe, yes, i believe, that we can find the surface.
    Even though it seems like this airplane is going down.
    Don't be afraid, it will all be okay;
    See there are plenty of parachutes to go around."

    there is always hope and it doesn't matter how long we have been riding the same sunken ship full of the same mistakes. We can find the surface. And he just comforts us, "Don't be afraid, it will all be okay" I needed this song in my life. It really opened my eyes that there is always a chance to become better. Love it.

    General CommentThis is the best song i've heard in quite a while, i love all the emotion trevor puts into this song.
    I think he's trying to say most all of us go through the some type of pain but most everyone decides to keep quiet about it and prefer to stick to themselves and they never know how many friends (parachutes) they have around to help them out.
    I hate to be nitpicky but the first line goes
    "The kids are insane, sick in the brain"
