This is the tale of a girl
How her love consumed my world
And how it all played out...
It started out

We got a straight shooter with the best intentions
A little off target
But life's a lesson
And no one's claiming to be perfect

We fell in love one summer night
Made out until the sunrise
And I'm just praying there's tomorrow
And if a thing or two's been misconstrued
Along the way...

I'm sorry
I know I'm stacked with imperfections
Compelled by love and it misdirection
So you know, should
One day, Il break out of this small town
Just say the word
I'll turn this car around
And drive until it breaks down....

Listen close
I hope you get the message through
Six months of lesson
You're my only one
And we've just begun
Every Sunday night we would
Fight to make this right
Can you come over now?
Let's talk this out
I tried to make the best of this
For as long as I could give the best of me
I guess in time we'll see

I'm sorry
I know I'm stacked with imperfections
Compelled by love and misdirection
So you know, should
One day, Il break out of this small town
Just say the word
I'll turn this car around
And drive until it breaks down

The most dastardly of deeds coupled with honorable intentions
Aim to sweep you off your feet
Into a bed of reinvention
Something much more fitting of these times

Should the ocean bring its wrath
And it wield intent to drown
I shall find it as a blanket
Inside together we are bound
And I still smell you in my clothes
Feel your fingers in my hair
Long after this song's over I'll still need you here...

Yeah this band more than rocks!! Callahan concretes!! Haha! I love the song! The guest vocals from Jason Lancaster (ex-Mayday Parade, actual Go Radio) are just awesome!

It's 'most dastardly of deeds' not 'absurdly of thieves. 'If a thing or two's been misconstrued' not 'fingertips'. I also don't think Jason's part is right either but I can't decipher otherwise so I guess it'll do.

    Love Stories Never Have Endings?

    Ahh how untrue.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Amazing

Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
