You’re moving on
and it’s breaking my heart
Is this the part where we say goodbye?
(goodbye)
To the nights that we had,
the nights now wasted?
Filling our heads with our broken dreams
Our broken dreams
like getting married
in our bare feet
Maybe it’s just me but forever seemed
longer than this

I hope every sad song
that you’ll ever sing
will constantly
bring your mind back to me
Come back to me
when this started in spring
I never saw this ending so
suddenly

You’re breaking my heart

I hope every sad song
that you’ll ever sing
will constantly
bring your mind back to me
Come back to me
when this started in spring
I never saw this ending so
suddenly

what can i say, this song is beautiful. It meakes me think of a guy losing his love because of something stupid. he can't get over her, no matter how long they're apart.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.
