You got a whole lot left to say now
You knocked all your wind out
You just tried too hard and you froze
I know, I know

What do you say, what do you say

Just take the fall
You're one of us
The spotlight is on
(Ahh ahh)
Oh the spotlight is on, oh

You know the one thing you're fighting to hold
Will be the one thing you've got to let go
And when you feel the war cannot be won
You're gonna die to try what can't be done
Gonna stay stay out but you don't care
Now is there nothing like that inside of you anywhere

Oh just take the fall
You're one of us
The spotlight is on
(Ahh ahh)
Oh the spotlight is on, yeah it's on

Because everyone would rather watch you fall (we're all in trouble)
And we all are (we're all in trouble)
And we all are (we're all in trouble)
Just take a fall
You're one of us
The spotlight is on
(Ahh ahh)
Oh the spotlight is on
(Just take the fall)
Now you're one of us
Now you're, now you're, now you're, now you're one of us
Now you're, now you're, now you're one of us
Oh the spotlight is on
(Ahh, ahh..)

I think it's freakin' hilarious that all of the twilight girls in here are saying "I think this song was written about Bella/Edward/Twilight/etc."

The song wasn't written for your movie. It was just added on the soundtrack. Think about something other than your stupid book, would you?

    when it says:

You know the one thing you're fighting to hold Will be the one thing you've got to let go And when you feel the wall cannot be burned You're gonna die to try what can't be done

it sounds to me like it actually says:

You know the one thing you're fighting to hold Will be the one thing you've got to let go And when you feel the war cannot be won You're gonna die to try what can't be done

i definitely think it says that, but that's just what i hear :)

Hahahhahahhahha transformers. But oh my god I love this song. It's addicting. I just keep picturing the part in Twilight where they get out of the car and Edward looks amazing. But it makes sense, it's like once she's (more or less) accepted into his family, that it means she has to play the part now. Go along with whatever is in store for her and take the obstacles that come with loving him.

i love mutemath even before this song!!! they are just flippin awesome and this song is amazing.i love listening to it!!! i agree with maenberlin it is crazy. once when i was at a friends house. now before i heard it completely and Knew it was on the twilight soundtrack my friend was listening to it on her ipod. she said it was on the twilight album and i was all " oh really, i didn't know that". i told her i'd never heard all of it and she was all u gotta listen to it. so she handed me her ipod that was on "FULL BLAST"( didn't know that btw) and when it started my ears nearly exploded!!! now i like listening to music loud anyway, like on my Ipod and stuff but i had no heads up it was that crazy. after it finshed my friends all, so what'd you think. I said, " wow, well i was not expecting that, that was insane. ( but i guess i should have known, it is mutemath, and their songs are insane.lol.

This song doesn't remind me of Twilight really because I try to not be reminded of it.

Anyways it reminds me of the Lost Boys. As the part "Just take a fall, you're one of us". It makes me think of the scene where all the vamps are hanging off the train tracks and David is yelling to Michael "Let go, you're one of us!"

I agree with hrom up there, not a twilight fan...

but I think the song is a good one.

Don't have much to say on it though since I didn't bother to watch the movie but it seems to relate to having attention brought on to you and having the pressure of failing due to that attention. Not too sure though...

This song is ridicuosly awesome! Seriously it fits pefectly in with the movie Twilight. I think the song is pretty much talking about how Bella is fighting her decision of becoming a vampire. The part of lyrics where it says,

Holiday

@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
