They call it KFC, cause its not really chicken
Hot cheetos for breakfast make a young student sick
And did you ever think someone's tricking you?
and the guy in the pulpit is a bigot and a liar
Some kid walks into my school and opens fire
Heard any good jokes lately?
Cause we sure do need 'em
My punk band's called Operation Iraqi Freedom

So what's it gonna be?
Are you real to me?
Or are you non-dairy creamer?

A new love is burning up for me
Cause one in four American girls has an STD
And you can buy yourself some implants
but you can't buy yourself a soul, threat level orange
With your chest puffed out
What are you so afraid about?
With your chest puffed out
What are you so afraid about?
What are you so afraid of?
What are you so afraid of?

So what's it gonna be?
Are you real to me?
Or are you non-dairy creamer?

And two gay guys got married
That brought the family to its knees
How did they blow this to smithereens?
Just a couple of queens
How did they do it I'll tell you now
They brought marriage to an end
And I found myself some culprits
It's two young gay republicans
Young gay republicans
Young gay republicans
Young gay republicans

What's it gonna be?
Are you real to me?
Or are you non-dairy creamer?
So what's it gonna be?
Are you real to me?
Or are you non-dairy creamer?

Mission accomplished

General CommentAlthough this song is pretty political, its one of my favorites off the new album. I think it's about being fake, like a "non-dairy" creamer. Like the fake chicken (KFC) and fake breasts.

General CommentI'm creaming for their new album. This song is amazing. I think its fairly wide. I think its socially critical of those who try to look better by making themselves completely fake, as well as a political criticism of how politicians make big deals out of things that shouldn't be, like gay marriage. As if that destroys the family. "Family Values." So, all in all I think its a criticism of being fake and of the propaganda put forth to get people to agree to something.

General CommentI love this song! I'm so happy that 3eb is coming out with new material-they literally are my favorite band. I love that this song is political and unafraid of being polarizing. It's a great commentary on where we've come to in America, and how sad it is.

Can someone explain the third verse to me? I get the pro-gay gist of it but it seemed more specific than that but I didn't quite get what it meant

General CommentNot the most creative and poetic lyrics that we've heard from Stephan, but still powerful in their own sense. I like most of the other symbols for American fake-ness, but non-dairy creamer almost seems a little forced. It works, but perhaps doesn't flow right?

Besides the lyrical critique, still a good song overall. Captures a lot of truths about America right now, and when people really listen to it it makes a lot of sense.

I personally can't wait for a girl with implants and an STD to hear this song, have no idea what it's about, and love it because its catchy and popular. That will be the epitome of what this song is about.

General CommentI think non-dairy creamer is a great metaphor for something fake. The name alone is contradicting. Something can't be non-dairy and cream. I think it's pointing out how everything is so messed up in the world, specifically USA and how if everyone was just real with one another a lot of those things wouldn't be so bad. It's a very powerful, insightful song. I can't wait until they go back on tour! Not my fave from 3eb but still good :)

General CommentThis song is just about people trying to be something they're not. I think the best line of this song is

And you can buy yourself some implants
But you can't buy a soul

It's simply saying that looks aren't everything, and you can get implants and surgery to make yourself necessarily more "physically" attractive, but you can't make your personality more attractive and you can't buy a soul. That's basically it.

General CommentYeah, so I was listening to this song the other day, and I thought, "Man, this chorus is almost great, but I feel like it's missing something." As a tinge of annoyance began to creep in, it dawned on me; You're supposed to feel like something's missing. How can you have creamer that's non-dairy. If there's no dairy, then what is the cream in the "creamer"?

Anyway, I'm sure the song is much deeper than that. I was just amazed at how they accomplished that missing feeling through the construction of the chorus.

General Comment"It’s really just a song about being real versus being fake. I started thinking about all these words that people like Donald Rumsfeld would use, like “enhanced interrogation technique” or “detainee” or “threat level orange.” All these words, it’s like George Orwell wouldn’t be able to keep up with it. It’s just so fake! And these things just keep getting stuck. I just said that one day — all of these things are like non-dairy creamer. It’s not cream, it’s powder!" (Stephan)
