"Anything 'Cept the Truth" as written by Jessie Everett Hughes and Josh Homme....
Ask me why I came so late
Ask me why I made you wait
Here's a story
That you ought to know
I had a little fight
I was dancing at a go-go
I'll tell you anything
Baby, except the truth

I'll tell you anything
Baby, except the truth
I've got nothing
But everything to prove

I only smile when I tell a lie
I swear the only one tonight

Ask me if I can be true
Ask me where I'm going to
I say I love you
But you ought to know
I only love the night
And I always got's to go-go
I'll tell you anything
Baby, except the truth

    General Commentits
    "whats the story?
    well you ought to know
    i had a little fire,
i was dancing at a go go"

the next wrong part should be

"i never smile when i tell a lie
i swear youre the only one tonight"

    and its
"i only love the night im always on the go go"

    there. fix it.

General CommentHonestly, I thought the title would be a play on the words.

"I'll tell you anything EXCEPT the truth" or "I'll tell you anything ACCEPT the truth".

So, I think it's about a guy lying through his teeth or a guy who'll tell the truth even if the people can't deal with it.
