"Poison" as written by and Jeremy Dawson....
I'm going to meet you

Voices are child in sound
Fades away...
For silence is walking, signs of you will leave

What will happen is the same for you
Til the end of someones world
And the cradle says goodbye to yesterday...

Painfully, I prepare a release
And poison takes me away
Poison takes me away...

Takes me away

Listen, don't cry my child
When you awake...
My father's table set a place for you

Contact, with firefull love
As you're to know my days
A season of poison will bring the darkness soon.

Painfully, I prepare a release
And poison takes me away
Poison takes me away...

Takes me away

On angels wings
You learn to fly

From this world you left below
I'm going to meet you
I've come to take you home

Mommy! mommy!

From this world you left below
I'm going to meet you
I've come to take you home
From this world you left below
I'm going to meet you
I've come to take you home

Painfully, I prepare a release
And poison takes me away
Poison takes me away...

On angels wings
You learn to fly
On angels wings
You learn to fly

General Commenti guess the "poison" could be symbolic of drugs.

when Jeremy sings the season of poison part i shiver - it's so amazing.

and the mommy mommy part creeps me out.

General Commenti think it's talking about someone's mother dying and they miss her so much they've decided to take their life to be with them so they're going to posion themselves, and the posion kills them.....

oh and it's not:what will happen is the same for you.....

it's:mother,I'm now the same as you

General Commentthese are the lyrics found on shiny toy guns website.

    (I’m going to meet you)
    Voices, a child in sound
    Fades away
    The silence is spoken
    Resides in you and me
Mother, I’m not the same as you
To the end of someone’s world
And the cradle says goodbye to yesterday
    Painfully, I prepare a release
    And poison takes me away
    Poison takes me away
    Takes me away
    Listen, don’t cry my child
    When you awake
My father’s table has set a blissful year
    Contact, with fire for love
    Has shortened all my days
A season of poison will bring the darkness soon
    Painfully, I prepare a release
    And poison takes me away
    Poison takes me away
    On angel’s wings
    You learn to fly
    On angel’s wings
    you learn to fly
    (kid sings)
From this world you left below
    I’m going to meet you
I’ve come to take you home.
(sirens, a kid yells “mommy, mommy, mommy”)
From this world you left below
    I’m going to meet you
I’ve come to take you home.
From this world you left below,
    I’m going to meet you
I’ve come to take you home.
From this world you left below
    I’m going to meet you
I’ve come to take you home
    Home, home, home!
    Painfully, I prepare a release,
    and poison takes me away
    Poison takes me away.
    On angel’s wings
    You learn to fly
    On angel’s wings
    you learn to fly.

General CommentOkay, for starters...it is Chad that sings, not Jeremy.

I am pretty sure that this song is about abortion.

My InterpretationTo me it seems like the song is about suicide: "a release" that will "take me away", the person will get "angel's wings" and "learn to fly". This person is seeking release in death- perhaps choosing a violent method of suicide: "Painfully, I prepare a release"?

General CommentWhat I got from this song was that a child, probably teen, has just witnessed or lived through his mother committing suicide or dying in some seemingly unfair way and now he wants to join her in heaven. the small child's voice could be him reverting back to his child self in feeling or memory where he was safe with her. Maybe the world without her seems dark and grim.

General Commentwell, idk about the whole song but to me its about a mother on drugs or dying and her child has to grow up, ''and the caddle says goodbye to yesterday''
but also it could be about a child dying and ''painfully i prepare a release could mean the mom is taking her child home to die cuase the hospital cant do anything more for him. but that is my veiw.
