It looks like we're close to the end
If this message were ever sent
you'd translate it into every word I never meant
But I won't let you inside my head

You're ever so protective, aren't you?
Baby, is there something that I should know?
And don't you ever, ever think that I
was ever holding back secrets, I've got nothing to hide
So let me grab a chair, to sit back and watch you lie

I'll let karma be the killer, the fall was a bad one
Would've stabbed your heart if you had one
We don't believe in second chances
or second-rate romances
So let's raise a toast to forgetting what we were

No one can save us
My only mistake was
listening to your every word and doing what you said

I'll let karma be the killer, the fall was a bad one
Would've stabbed your heart if you had one
We don't believe in second chances
or second-rate romances
So let's raise a toast to forgetting what we were

Take this into consideration

It looks like we're close to the end
If this message were ever sent
you'd translate it...
Into every word
I never meant
But I won't let you inside my head

I'll let karma be the killer, the fall was a bad one
Would've stabbed your heart if you had one
We don't believe in second chances,
or second-rate romances
So let's raise a toast

I'll let karma be the killer, the fall was a bad one
Would've stabbed your heart if you had one
We don't believe in second chances, or second-rate romances
So let's raise a toast to forgetting what we were

General CommentSo, am I the only person aware of this band?

The song is pretty self explenatory I think. He's confronting a girl who he has caught lying.

"You're ever so protective, aren't you?
Baby, is there something that I should know?"

She's coming up with excuses and trying to change the subject, but he's not having it.

"And don't you ever, ever think that I
was ever holding back secrets, I've got nothing to hide"

Finally he decideds that she's not worth getting worked up and upset over and let's karma have it's way with her

    "
I'll let karma be the killer, the fall was a bad one
Would've stabbed your heart if you had one"

Love this band, straight from my hometown!

General CommentIt's on their EP "Scratch and Sniff" - music wise it's identical (literally) to "Same Thing We Do Everyday, Pinky..." just the different lyrics. It sounds very raw and emotional, Misha really did well on the vocals on this!
