Gonna lay with a ghost by my side
Let the birds take to the sky
Gonna try and drown
Or drink the river dry
May the ghost lay by my side

And the flowers will bloom
If you want them to (verse x2)

We spoke upon the stars up in the night
How'd you ever get so high
Gonna try and drown
Or drink the river dry
May the ghost lay by my side

And the flowers will bloom
If you want them to (verse x2)

Kissed a blue girl
While it rained broken glass
Rode a bolt of white light
With Satan on my lap
Everything is happening in the dark

And everything is happening all at once
Do we haunt the hearts of god
My love I bet ya haunt the heart
Of god my love
My love (verse x2)

My OpinionWhy aren't there any comments ? Dax is so Underrated...
This is one of my Favorite Dax songs, i have two feeling about this song, its may be about someone who died, cause basically death is Dax's "thing" but to me its a very inspirational song. Life is all about how you perceive it, if you think positive things will happen, they absolutely will and vice versa.
Then the mood of the song changes after second chorus. I get a very vivid picture in my head of something horrible happening in slow motion (not sure why) maybe cause I grew up in the early 90s so I actually know how to use my imagination)
"Everything is happening in the dark and everything is happening all at once "i like that line cause sometimes life seems too much to handle, and you don't even think you'll ever find a way out, changes happens outa nowhere like the song.
Nothing is given to us we make our own choices and control our own lives. we are in no way perfect and sometimes and no matter what, sh|t happens but stay optimistic. that a good thing to do anyway.
please if anyone has another opinion I'd love to hear it
