You were always the girl
Who would give me girl advice whenever I needed it (oh)
My best friend in the world
My friends said you were fine but I was always denyin' it

Then one summer day
I saw you laying
By your swimming pool
And I was thinking
"Damn, you really changed"
You're not the quiet girl I used to know
You opened up my eyes

I see you
Walk across my room in
Nothing but the moonlight
Now I love to
See you in the dark
See you in the dark
My window
Frames you like a Monet
Don't come back to bed yet
Cuz I love to
See you in the dark
See you in the dark

I'll never see you the same
The veil has been lifted, now I see you're gifted
My whole perspective has changed
Don't think I can go back cause I will always desire it

Don't take another step
Near me, just in case we have regrets
If tomorrow we go back to being friends
I'll think about the way you looked tonight, yeah
So turn off all the lights

I see you
Walk across my room in
Nothing but the moonlight
Now I love to
See you in the dark
See you in the dark
My window
Frames you like a Monet
Don't come back to bed yet
Cuz I love to
See you in the dark
See you in the dark

Maybe if you were someone else
It wouldn't have to be like this
I'm wondering how you feel about me now
Or was it just a friendly kiss, yeah
Cause I'm seeing you for the first time

She pulls me
Closer to her body
As she whispers softly
"Turn the lights out"
See you in the dark
See you in the dark

I see you
Walk across my room in
Nothing but the moonlight
Now I love to
See you in the dark
See you in the dark
My window
Frames you like a Monet
Don't come back to bed yet
Cuz I love to
See you in the dark
See you in the dark

"My window frames you like a monet" So, so poetic. That's my favorite line. These guys are great.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
