You're breathing, heart beating
Got your fingernails digging in the seat and
You're letting everyone make your decisions.
Well, your heart and your mind are
Arguing over who can get farther,
It would be beautiful
If you could just take that step.

You gotta walk through the mazes
Don't let anybody take you
'Cause what you're doing isn't right.
Gotta walk through the hazes
Don't let anybody faze you
'Cause you're the reason for tonight.

It's over, and it's done
And you think you could never get another one:
A chance to make a change
And do something better.
Well, your heart and your mind are
Arguing over who can get farther,
It could be beautiful
If you could just take that step.

You gotta walk through the mazes
Don't let anybody faze you
'Cause what you're doing isn't right.
Gotta walk through the hazes
Don't let anybody take you
'Cause you're the reason for tonight.

You gotta walk through the mazes
Don't let anybody faze you
'Cause what you're doing isn't right.
Gotta walk through the hazes
Don't let anybody take you
'Cause you're the reason for tonight.

Don't let anybody faze you,
Don't let anybody faze you,
Don't let anybody faze you,
Don't let anybody faze you.

General CommentSo I submitted this knowing that no one will actually know this song (or any others off of the original Needtobreathe EPs, for that matter) BUT for your own edification and enjoyment I strongly suggest you get your hands on it somehow!

The sound in this one is very raw compared to tracks on Daylight and The Heat, but they're one of those rare bands where raw is still amazingly good. 'Mazes' has an awesome riff, and it's a self-explanatory message that I think anyone can relate to. Love it!!
