"I Don't Believe You" as written by Alecia B Moore and Max Martin....
I don't mind it
I don't mind at all
It's like you're the swing set
And I'm the kid that falls
It's like the way we fight
The times I've cried
We come too close
And every night
The passion's there
So it's gotta be right
Right?

No I don't believe you
When you say don't come around here no more
I won't remind you
You said we wouldn't be apart
No I don't believe you
When you say you don't need me anymore
So don't pretend to
Not love me at all

I don't mind it
I still don't mind at all
It's like one of those bad dreams
When you can't wake up
It looks like you've given up
You've had enough
But I want more
No I won't stop
Because I just know
You'll come around
Right?

No I don't believe you
When you say don't come around here no more
I won't remind you
You said we wouldn't be apart
No I don't believe you
When you say you don't need me anymore
So don't pretend to
Not love me at all

Just don't stand there and watch me fall
'Cause I, 'cause I still don't mind at all

It's like the way we fight
The times I've cried
We come too close
And every night
The passion's there
So it's gotta be right,
Right?

No I don't believe you
When you say don't come around here no more
I won't remind you
You said we wouldn't be apart
No I don't believe you
When you say you don't need me anymore
So don't pretend to
Not love me at all

'Cause I don't believe you

General CommentOk first off, I love P!nk and I love this song.

now. To me, it sounds more like the end of a relationship but both people don't want it to end...
The beginning is talking about how he lets her down but she doesn't mind. She feels good wth him.
But they always fight. And she cries. But she forgives him.
they have passion still so she says "well, if we have this passion, it's right." then she questions herself. "Isn't it?

    next the chorus.
He says "I don't want to see you" but it's false. They love each other, but he realizes it's not working. No matter how much it hurts, he's trying to let her go.
Then he says "well, I don't need you" but she knows it's not true.
and he's trying to pretend he doesn't love her.

    next verse.
she's saying once again that she doesn't mind that it hurts. Because she's with him.
She wants more though I think she might also know it's not working. But she wants to cling to the happiness they shared.
and that he'll just come around like not lovng her, pushing her away was just a phase. Right?

    chourus again
then she goes on to say "well don't just watch me fall. I don't mind. At least you're there. Paying attention to me"

and that's what I think about this song :)

General Commentto me it's about not wanting to believe that the person you love doesn't want to be with you anymore. it's about how no matter what you think or feel, some part of you just won't let you stop hoping. "no i don't believe you, when you say you don't need me anymore" it's about not wanting to believe, but being unsure anyway.
My girlfriend just broke up with me. and staying up late thinking about it, accepting it, this song came on when i was watching a random music video channel. it kinda made me laugh, because i don't want to hope anymore, but how can I? ha, fate or whatever made this song come on is toying with me.
anyway, sorry for the introspection there. good song, meaningful singing and lyrics, never give up on the things you love

General CommentIt's chaotic, but passionate love. But, it's right. In my humble opinion, to be able to evoke those kinds of emotions in each other shows that they both care so much but are simply begging the other not to hurt them.

Trying to break down the defenses to get to the good stuff, the pure, untainted stuff.
