"The Kiss Of Death" as written by Alexander Timothy X Burnett and David John M Hall....
If I never ever see you again,
Would you take all that I said and believe it to be true?
Would you choose to lose it all with no sense of consequence?
Oh the kiss of death is only but a breath away

It's only time
Before you lose
The things that meant
The most to you
You're in denial
You're out of your mind
You'll be the one who dies alone

If I could I would have moved on long ago,
But you wanted me to stay so I let you have your way
Is it better to be friends or sever ties? well that depends….
Oh the kiss of death is only but a breath away

It's only time
Before you lose
The things that meant
The most to you
You're in denial
You're out of your mind
You'll be the one who dies alone

When you just can't trust yourself more than anybody else
The kiss of death is only but a breath away

It's up to you
It's not down to me
You change your mind too easily

What's in your head
Is not in your heart
You wait too long to play your cards

It's only time,
Before you lose
The things that meant
The most to you
You're in denial
You're out of your mind
You'll be the one dies alone

The kiss of death is only but a breath away

General CommentI think the artist is describing a situation where attraction between two people has ended in a stalemate where the other party could not decide whether to advance the relationship or just let go.

"The kiss of death is only but a breath away"
He refers to how easy it would have been to turn the relationship into something else, but it's the "kiss of death" because neither of them know how it would turn out if they tried, and she is clearly afraid it would not work...

In the end he has decided to leave, and expresses his frustrations about her indecision about their relationship and her constant waiting...

Well, that's what I think anyway...maybe I'm reading it this way because it feels like the song is being directed at me...
