We play house and swear to end
This congenital heart defect here
But it won’t end with me
Because all I know about love
I learned from household names
And voices that keep me up at night
And I’ll teach my son about love with household names
And voices to keep him up at night
A son named self-fulfilling prophecy
A son named self-defeating prophecy
Before I know it I hear my own son’s voice screaming:
“You. I learned by watching you.”

General CommentSad to see that nobody had the lyrics to this.

To me, this song represents a relationship (or lack thereof) between father and son, and the impact that has on future generations. The lack of relationship is passed on through the family.
