There ain't no good in our goodbyein'
True love takes a lot of tryin'
Oh, I'm cryin'

Let's hang on to what we've got
Don't let go, girl, we've got a lot
Got a lot of love between us
Hang on, hang on, hang on to what we've got

Doo-doo, doo-doo, doo-doo

You say you're gonna go and call it quits
Gonna chuck it all and break our love to bits
Breakin' up (I wish you'd never said it)
Breakin' up (no no, we'll both regret it)
That little chip of diamond on your hand
Ain't a fortune, baby
But you know it stands, (for the love) a love to tie and bind ya
(Such a love) we just can't leave behind us
Baby (don't you know?)
Baby (don't you go, oh no no)
(Think it over) and stay

Let's hang on to what we've got
Don't let go, girl, we've got a lot
Got a lot of love between us
Hang on, hang on, hang onto what we've got

Doo-doo, doo-doo, doo-doo

Ooh, ho-ooh, ooh
Ooh, ho-ooh, ooh

There isn't anything I wouldn't do (I do love you girl)
I'd pay any price to get in good with you (you know I do)
(Patch it up) give me a second turnin'
(Patch it up) don't cool off while I'm burnin'

You've got me cryin', dyin' at you door (cryin', dyin')
Don't shut me out, ooh, let me in once more (cryin)
(Open up) your arms, I need to hold you
(Open up) your heart, oh girl, I love you

Baby (don't you know?)
Baby (oh no, no)
(Think it over) and stay

Let's hang on to what we've got (girl, girl)
Don't let go, girl, we've got a lot (it ain't the world girl)
Got a lot of love between us
Hang on, hang on, hang on to what we've got

Doo-doo, doo-doo, doo-doo

Ooh, ho-ooh, ooh
Ooh, ho-ooh, ooh
Ooh, ho-ooh, ooh

Wow! I'm so glad someone added these lyrics! One of my top5 favorite songs of all time, the intro is a classic. Bob Gaudio was a songwriting genius, no doubt about it.

Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
