"Lungs Like Gallows" as written by Brian Mcternan, James Buddy Nielsen, Daniel Gerard Trapp, Garrett Michael Zablocki and Heath Matthew Saraceno....
I give blood
That I broke from myself that I get better to someone else
Is what makes a man the dirt on his hands
To put your faith in the desert sand
The winners always

There are gallows deep inside my minds
The clear I hung ambition
Is it love that's knocking right on my back door?
Because I've been breaking mirrors since 1984
I walk under ladders, I spill salt on sores
And I open my umbrella even when I am indoors
Getting seven more

I give blood without any cause but wish I could give up the person I was
Holding my breath would help everything went to hell so now I still from the

I am screaming at my own shadow to stop living like a ghost
Is it love that's knocking right on my backdoor?
Because I've been breaking mirrors since 1984
I walk under ladders I spill salt on sores
And I open my umbrella even when I'm indoors
Getting seven more

I don't need a, 20 years of naming that cause I'm not done screaming it you can call up the intervention
Cause I don't need your attention

Is it love that's knocking right on my backdoor?
Because I've been breaking mirrors since 1984
I walk under ladders
I spill salt on sores
And I open my umbrella even when I'm indoors

General CommentSecond part of the cd.
He realised that he is killing himself on the inside trying to make himself important..

He is stopping how he is acting, from all the bad luck he is receiving.

He gace up on her, he realised that he still has problems, but he now has one less problem

Because I've been breaking mirrors since 1984.
I walk under ladders, I spill salt on sores and I open my umbrella even when I am indoors.
    So give me seven more.

    Holy. Shit.

General CommentSo far on my top 10 favorite songs ever. i'd say 4 or 5 because my first is Stare at the sun by Thrice, Animal I have become by Three Days Grace, Diary of Jane by Breaking Benjamin, and then right in there with Liar Liar by The Used. This song to me seems like he's going crazy because he's sick of life. He doesn't care anymore hence "so give me seven more" and the blood donations. "cus i dont need your attention"

General CommentThis song is him saying he won't change for her.
No matter the cost to himself.

General Commenti think this song is about him punishing himself after his girlfriend broke up with him. he feels like it was his fault it ended "I give blood not for the cause, but to slowly give up the person I was". As for the superstitions he feels like because he messed up the relationship that he deserves the bad luck as punishment for what he did wrong.

    Lyric CorrectionCorrect Lyrics

I give blood to prove to myself
That I can matter to somebody else.
Is what makes a man the dirt on his hands?
If so, don't put you're faith in the dessert sand,
because the wind is always blowing
There are gallows deep inside my lungs, that's where I hung ambition

Is it luck that's knocking right on my back door?
Because I've been breaking mirrors since 1984
I walk under ladders, I spill salt on sores
and I open my umbrella even when I am indoors
    So give me seven more

I give blood not for the cause but to slowly give up the person I was
Holding my breath won't help, everything went to hell
So now I steal back pennies from the well
    because my wishes failed
I am screaming at my own shadow to stop living like a ghost

Is it luck that's knocking right on my back door?
Because I've been breaking mirrors since 1984
I walk under ladders, I spill salt on sores
and I open my umbrella even when I am indoors

I don't need her I'm not that desperate
Come visit me in twenty years and maybe then
cause I'm not done screaming yet
you can call off the intervention,
    I don't need your attention
