I woke up
(To diseases)
I shut out
(TV screens, and)
Then I count
(All my sneezes)
Then I count
(Well, he needs 'em)

I am a knight
I am a color, oh
I am a light
I am your brother, oh

I sat still
(With the syrup)
I feel ill
(It'll clear up)
Take my pill
(You don't fear us?)
Take my pill
(With the syrup)

I am a knight
I am a color, oh
I am a light
I am your brother, oh

Swing
Swing
Swing

I climbed hills of chimneys tall like butter
(Tall like caverns in my teeth)
And when I came to I did shudder
(We were trying to believe)

And when the day has ended
And when our hearts unfold
We'll glow like the night sky, oh
We'll glow like centerfolds

This is not our last disguise
(I love him, dark out of)
This is not our last disguise
(We are him, we love him)
This is not our last disguise
(Our love's not recited)
This is not our last disguise
(Ten years worth avoided)
This is not our last disguise
(We smoked it, we drank it)
This is not our last disguise
(It's warm like a blanket)
This is not our last disguise
(In forty years, they'll leave us
Unconscious, they hear us, they hear us, they hear us)

This is not our lasting sky (Our light did you right) This is not our lasting sky (The latter is fly) This is not our lasting sky (Our light did you right) This is not our lasting sky (The latter is fly) This is not our lasting sky (I love him, I know them, we owe him, we love him) This is not our lasting sky (Our lives are recited, ten years boy, I'll fight it) This is not our lasting sky (We love him, we drank it, it's not nice, I like him) This is not out lasting sky (All for you, they'll leave us, our conscious, they drew us, they drew us, they drew us)

Is what I'm hearing at the end there

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
