Heart beat soundin'.
Ricocheting in their cage.
Thought I'd lose my balance.
With the grounds bounce and sway.
And all this violence.
And all this goes away.
And the vibes that rise like.
Fireflies illuminate our play.

Some light being.
Pulled you up from nights party.
Said clap your hands.
If you think your soul is free.
And the silence was astounding.
'cept some "Oh Lord!! Mercy Me's".
And oh you can't stop what's comin' up.
Youre never gonna stop gonna live it up.
And oh it's gonna drop gonna fill your cup.
And oh it's gonna drop gonna fill your cup!.

The age of miracles.
The age of sound.
Well there's a Golden Age.
Comin' round, comin'round, comin' round!

Give it up.
'stead of grabbin for decay.
What we viewed as gold.
I believe pollutes this space.
And its grace ascending.
Like a snake up your tree.
Up your happy ending understanding.
All your s'pposed to be.

Let it move right in.
Let it kiss your face.
Let it sow your skin.
In perpetual embrace.
Like I said "Love's Light is Laughter".
Like the sun spittin' happiness into the hereafter.
Oh here it comes like a natural disaster.
Ah blowin up like a ghetto blaster.
Ah here it comes, bring it faster!
Ah here it comes, bring it faster!

The age of miracles.
The age of sound.
Well there's a Golden Age.
Comin' round, comin' round, comin' round!!

Love, don't you falter.
Burnin hearts.
Dragged behind.
The horses dancing on the altar.
Hooves breakin' Gods.
To diamond dust and stars.
And there you are...

Now we're all allowed to breathe.
Walls dissolve.
With the hunger and the greed.
Move your body.
You've got all you need.
And your arms in the air stir a sea of stars.
And oh here it comes and it's not so far.

All light beings.
Come on now make haste..
Clap your hands.
If you think you're in the right place
Thunder all surroundin'.
Aw feel it quake with the joy resounding.
Palm to the palm you can feel it poundin'.
Never give it up you can feel it mountin'.
Oh its gonna drop gonna fill your cup and.
Oh its gonna drop gonna fill your cup!!!

The age of miracles.
The age of sound.
Well there's a Golden Age.
Comin' round, comin' round, comin' round!!!!

The age of miracles.
The age of sound.
Well there's a Golden Age.
Comin' round, comin' round, comin' round!!!!

TV on the radio doesn't make lyrics any deeper than the depth at which we can all relate (alot like Tool). They put a core message in there and then accentuate it with a couple of flair lines here and there, and then let most of the specifics take place in your head.

This song is about what tons of other artists are writing about right now, the next step in evolution. If you read lyrics to songs like this, you can tell that they think it's happening right now. And every time you understand something like this, you push the entire planet's consciousness a little further into the Golden Age. Of course, if you're jamming to this song, while realizing this, you're pushing pretty hard and pretty fast. Just like a ghetto blaster

I see this as the promise of Utopia soon, that we'll get out of the Dark Age of the Bush Administration, economic collapse, war, ignorance and get back to where we were thousands of years ago.

I agree with ReverendKelvin thats about an upcoming utopia, but i dont think it is about reverting back to "where we were thousands of years ago." i feel the utopia sung about is completly new, where nothing is needed or wanted.

This song is most definitely reffering to the ascension, which had already begun but it will come to it's peak in 2012. It's talking about how the world we live in now is soon to be replaced by heaven on earth.. but, only for the souls who are prepared. The vibration of the planet as well as the vibrations of the humans and all of the animals living on earth are rising. This means we are making the transition into the 4th and 5th dimension; planes of exsistance that are 'above' our current 3rd dimensional planet. We are all aware that something big is about to happen. We can feel it, deep within all of us. As humans we are evolving into the next species- we are becoming beings of light. This is happening to every one of us, although some are more aware of the transformation then others. Soon the truth will be revealed to everybody, and when enough people are aware of the Ascension, we can all ascend together with Mother Earth. The Golden Age is coming! Prepare yourselves! We are about to enter the best period of life the Earth has ever experienced. We are all here on Earth right now for this!

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.
