"Morphine Cloud" as written by Johan Ericson and Anders Jacobsson....
One single night, one single day
Before it all just sweeps away...
With the paradise I do not know,
Through the joy I never had
I'm all alone on my isolated throne

Why have you forsaken me?

The days outnumbered themselves into the grey
And life cries, a dream dies out into the blackness,
Stretches for an empty cup; a chalice to collect the tears
That I keep to myself

I gaze upon the mystery, this lovelorn identity...
Frozen beyond the echoes of laughter

This morphine cloud hanging over me
Like a snow-white curtain;
This beautiful haze overruns me
So I erase myself from you; The cure for my sanity...
And here I am, unwilling to forgive myself

So lost in this remedy, your spirit is haunting me;
Consumed by indifference
I scream in your silence where shadows conceals me...
I'm cursed to search for you

Oh feeble, ungrateful my heart;
Paralyzed you drown with me
Intoxicate this bitter reality
Under the screens of apathy

Oh feeble, ungrateful my heart;
Paralyzed you drown with me
Intoxicate this bitter reality
Under the screens of apathy

The dream died before it was born,
Innocence is lost... And so am I
But still I pretend to be strong
Still I wonder where I belong

You whisper to me gently in my sleep
To leave this world behind
And I gaze upon the mystery, this lovelorn identity...
Frozen beyond the echoes of laughter

    General Commenti think this song is about being too troubled and self consumed to take advantage and appreciate a perfectly good relationship. he is so numb because of whatever is bothering him, he knows he should care and it would be to his benefit to love her back as much as she loves him, but he just cant get himself to do it. she seems to say she will love him no matter what and she is ok with what few good times they had together. beautiful song.

    General CommentI think that the ending is pretty sad but thats the beauty of it, it's like the the torment doesn't seem likely to stop for a long time. At the same time he is cursed in a similar way in that although he didn't want to continue a relationship that was already over before it was born, but having scarred her emotionally he will carry the guilt with him. It's sad but beautiful. But beautiful because it is sad.
