"Mental Note" as written by Paul Anthony Dempsey, Clint Wesley Hyndman and Stephanie Ashworth....
Lie awake in fear of mathematics
Uneasy in the knowledge that you`re no longer running the show
Shutting eyes and stabbing maps and trying to find some exciting place to go
But it took you 400 years just to get as far as here
And now you say you`re out of your depth
Is this snapping out of equations any way to treat a friend?
Any way to treat a friend

They swear to me they know every flashing light in this city
They understand them like the advice of a friend
Black and white, straight up and down
They know them all, they love them all, they love them all, they love them all
They say the thing that guide you on your way
Will blind you if you try too hard to measure them
Keep my feet fixed down to the floor when
I want to share the view with someone else
Fingers in their ears, don`t wanna talk

Oh I have tonight
I have this light
And you will see me for miles
I have tonight
And I have this light
And you will see me for miles
In two days, in two days
In two days, in two days

If the table between us isn`t the centre of the universe
What`s your guess?
If the table between us isn`t the centre of the universe
What`s your guess?

General CommentI can't believe no has said anything about this song, one of their best bsides from the hallways single. I have been following SFK's music for years just before I heard this song Paul was quoted saying "if I wasn't making music I'd be studying Astrophysics" and when I heard this song I felt it really brought out that side of him and his thought's.
