Oh my name is gone again, gone again, I'm gone again
While you're stuck at home, trying to face being alone
Maybe I'll send you a postcard
With the words to this song, so when you come back, you can sing along
Your voice continues going through my ears
So everyone on this bus can see my golden tears

Summer please shake Autumns hand
'Cause home seems like some distant land
And will they remember my name?
When home is softly settled in my hands

Oh, I'm so afraid aye-aye
Will they remember me? I am so afraid

It's cold up here and I hope you know, I need a coat, I need a coat
You're lucky, back home, you're a boat to keep warm

The weather shouldn't be on my mind
'Cause there are things in my head, that need to be said
Instead, I swallow my tongue
And save those words to sing the sorrow from a song

Summer please shake Autumns hand
'Cause home seems like some distant land
And will they remember my name?
When home is softly settled in my hands

Oh, I'm so afraid, aye-aye
Will they remember me?
I am so afraid
Will you remember me?
Love, remember me

General Commentwow. when i first heard this song it was at ACAA. Courtney was new at our school but so famous already in our small school of like 300 people. it was like a big family around a camp fire. That was a cool year with her there. I had to leave though.
THIS SONG MADE ME CRY! The whole audience was speechless. This girl was so inspiational. I'm surprised this song has like no comments. People need a wake up call. or maybe she just hasn't put this one youtube. but you'll hear it one day. then you'll know what i'm blabbering on about.

This song is a true story. I think she was writing these songs as these events were happening. The guy who she "loves" is far away. she's waiting for a season to come when she'll see him again. She's afraid he won't remember her name or in other words, who she is...or she's taling about her family in the same matter.
