"Two Weeks" as written by and Philip Labonte Oli Herbert....
And you neglected I called you out don't please
I said we're stronger than this now
You resurrected mistakes years past it seemed
And they exist to still haunt you

And still you feel like the loneliness
Is better replaced by this
I don't believe it this way
And I can see the fear in your eyes
I've seen it materialize
Growing stronger each day

I could see it as you turned to stone
Still clearly I can hear you say
Don't leave, don't give up on me
Two weeks and you ran away
I remember don't lie to me
You couldn't see that it was not that way
Swear I never gave up on you

I wanted nothing but for that trust again
And brick by brick you would take it
You feared of phantoms and none exist but you
You still saw fit to destroy it

And still you feel like the loneliness
Is better replaced by this
I don't believe it this way
And I can see the fear in your eyes
I've seen it materialize
Growing stronger each day

I could see it as you turned to stone
Still clearly I can hear you say
Don't leave don't give up on me
Two weeks and you ran away
I remember don't lie to me
You couldn't see that it was not that way
Swear I never gave up on you

And you neglected I called you out don't please
I said we're stronger than this now
You feared of phantoms and none exist but you
You still saw fit to destroy it

And I can see the fear in your eyes
I've seen it materialize
Growing stronger each day

I could see it as you turned to stone
Still clearly I can hear you say
Don't leave don't give up on me
Two weeks you ran away

I could see it as you turned to stone
Still clearly I can hear you say
Don't leave don't give up on me
Two weeks and you ran away
I remember don't lie to me
You couldn't see that it was not that way
Swear I never gave up on you

General CommentIts about a guy who has made mistakes in his past and the girl keeps bringing them up because those memories haunt her. She thinks that in order to let these thoughts go she has to let him go and be lonely. He can see the fear in her eyes and knows that its getting bigger. He can forsee the relationship turn to stone. She keeps telling him to not give up on her but in two weeks she then ends up leaving. All he feels now is that he still hasn't given up on her but yet she has now. All he wants is to build that trust up again but she keeps taking the trust and throwing it away because of the past. She feared the fact that the past mistakes were true but in the end they weren't, but she just won't believe that they aren't true....awesome song reminds me of my last relationship. There is always one strong person in the relationship and the other needs a little help....but thats my 2 cents.

General Commentbasically explains how a good friend of his made too many mistakes in the past and found resolve in isolation and materialistic wants only to avoid and distrust him.. i'm guessing a person fallen to greed or just being tired of hanging around him.
Either way a really damn good song, i'm sure a lot of people can relate to it

My InterpretationThis song really reminds me of my friend, its like his life story.... BTW... im always sick of people saying everyone's songs are always drug related, but this time i think thats what this song truly is about.

and still you feel like the loneliness
    is better replaced by this
I don't believe it this way
and I can see the fear in your eyes
    I've seen it materialize
    Growing stronger each day

to me thats saying that someone feels like they feel isolated so they are using drugs as an escape to feel normal, a scapegoat. And as for the 'fear' in their eyes, i think its the 'fear'of addiction, or maybe even the addiction itself (if that makes sense).

I could see it as you turned to stone
Still clearly I can hear you say
don't leave, don't give up on me
two weeks and you ran away
I remember don't lie to me
you couldn't see that it was not that way
swear I never gave up on you

turning to stone, i think of that as just becoming more and more dependent on their drug and less independent and self sufficient.
The next few lines tell me that the 'addict' doesn't want to be left alone. He knows he's addicted he knows he's fucked....but he doesn't want you to give up on him, because he knows he's to weak to pull himself out.
im not sure about the two weeks part.... maybe he just keeps giving up and running away from the people trying to help him. Than he realizes what he's done, and feels ashamed of letting down all those who care. He feels like they just are realizing that he's a hopeless wreck. But he doesn't realize 'that it's not that way',and that no one's giving up on him.

I wanted nothing but for that trust again
and brick by brick you would take it
You feared of phantoms and none exist but you
you still saw fit to destroy it

it seems like obviously its getting hard to trust him, he's probably lying about using the drug to everybody, claiming to be stopping. 'You feared of phantoms and none exist but you' thats one that really got me. To me its saying there's nothing to fear but yourself, your the only person angry, your the only person holding you back. He's doing it to himself and he's damaging his own mind (you still saw fit to destroy it).

and I can see the fear in your eyes
    I've seen it materialize
    growing stronger each day

and once again, its just getting worse day by day.......

well thats my take on this song. by the way im a HUGE atr fan. they are so amazing!!!!

sorry it was so long but thats my opinion (and in a way the story of my friend)

General CommentThis song speaks out for someone that has lied to there girlfriend in the past for whether it be cheated or just treated like shit.. and the girl keeps on bringing up the past because she cannot forget it, but He really loves this girl, and he's sorry he made those mistakes (whatever they were). He is explaining to the girl that hes in love with that there love is stronger than anything but the past, all of you need to realize to look into the future because thats where all the good comes from. NOT THE PAST. we lear from the past whether it be disrespect or being cheated. and you only stick with that person if you are really in love with them... that's my belief, and i'd like to say i hit the nail on the head.

Song MeaningThe song rocks. The chic in the video is smoking hot. the riffs are amazing and it's just hard-core metal at it's best. A manipulative and evil woman was the topic of this song. If her name was jenna renee, she probably ran off with a bearded woman from the circus for free mustache rides, hence she "broke his heart" and that's what this song is about. An untrustworthy, manipulative woman who is a waste of human flesh. Two weeks, was the amount of time it took to drink the bitch out of his system and write this song. The song is true aggression and therapy for this dude every time he sings it. He is free of her, may she rot in hell.

General CommentThis song reminds me of my most recent relationship that ended a few months ago.
and more recently she came back and we tried to rekindle that fire we once had.
but then several weeks later she became extremely distant. I tried so hard to tell
her how I felt, I kept by her side always, through everything, I never stopped for
her because she was all I wanted but she decided to run instead and she couldn't
trust me again. this song is pretty deep.

General Commenti think the song is about his ex. jenna renee. i believe thats where the the two weeks comes from, i don't remember how long they were together though. the song is probally how she felt during the relationship and how she left.
