"Live Forever (Fly With Me)" as written by Travis Mccoy, Matthew Mcginley, Disashi Lumumba-kasongo, Andre Lyon and Marcello Valenzano....
I see a window and all I can think about is
Do you wanna fight with me
I know it sounds crazy but I can't find solid ground
So do you wanna fight with me

An I been starin' at this window for the past eleven hours
Thinkin' about all the opportunities this window has to offer
From the twenty third floor to the filing cabinet east Manhattan to
[FDR is beautiful ?] an I'mm watchin' all the cars passin'
An a couple stars twinkle so I started laughin'
And a couple walked by an they looked so happy
I booked this room at this place called the last resort
All my bags are packed I got my jacket an my passport
A first class ticket to the after life you dig me
Now is you is or is you ain't with me
An I fully understand if you got other plans
But I can't see you hand in hand with another man
I been on autopilot since we last spoke
And I don't want to board this flight on a bad note
I want you think about it but either way I'm goin'
An if you really love me then here's the chance to show it

I see a window and all I can think about is
Do you wanna fight with me
I know it sounds crazy but I can't find solid ground
So do you wanna fight with me

We'll live forever, they will write a novel about us

She looked me dead in the eyes
And took me by the hand
Kissed me on the cheek an said baby I understand
You don't have to leave plus I'm scared of heights
So just put down your luggage forget about this flight
You an I you know we been through a lot of things
But it's no reason to start trippin' an arguing
She said you are my king I place no one above you
And I dont have to board a plane for me to show you
An all this talk about the after life is kinda creepy
So lets just go lay down and talk I'm gettin' kinda sleepy
I kinda smiled and we both walked to the window I pulled it shut
And started staring at the sky I wiped a couple tears away
An then we looked at each other an
I could see the starts twinkle in her eyes
I told her about the couple I seen earlier
She said I'm sure they're cute but they're not you and I

I see a window and all I can think about is
Do you wanna fight with me
I know it sounds crazy but I can't find solid ground
So do you wanna fight with me

We'll live forever, they will write a novel about us

I see a window and all I can think about is
Do you wanna fight with me
I know it sounds crazy but I can't find solid ground
So do you wanna fight with me

We'll live forever, they will write a novel about us

General Commenti really like this one. the new album is probably my biggest guilty pleasure as far as music goes. it's so catchy, but nothing like the poetry of PCC that got me started

General Commentawesome song. one of the bests on the album,
my point of view is that Travis (or the person in the song) is going to commit suicide because he loves this girl and he thinks she no longer corresponds, and he's trying to get this girl to go with him and just be together forever but then the girl tells him that she indeed loves him still and that there's no need to kill themselves to be together.

General Commenti'm not a big fan of the chorus, but everything else is beautiful.

i can't put down the idea that the "guy" in the song is asking her to commit suicide with him (do you want to fly with me).

"I booked this room at this place called the Last Resort
All my bags are packed I got my jacket and my passport
And a first class ticket to the afterlife, you dig me?"

those lines also tell that, well, there's no plane involved

General CommentThis song is so powerful i think, my take on it is a boyfriend who has been left by his girlfriend, contemplating suicide. i dont think it has anything to with a flight or travel, but with passing to the afterlife. he starts by the window, which offers him an 'opportunity' to end the way he feels, to fly away from the feelings he is suffering now by ending his life.

he believes that by ending his life he will ensure that people will write about their love, then it will not be forgotten even if she has.

i think he is maybe dreaming the second verse, imagining what it would take for her to say to bring him back from the brink, she says that killing yourself doesnt prove their love and that she fears death, and that what he is doing is silly.

they end talking as if they were together again, which is why i think he is perhaps imagining the second verse.

just my take, i may be completely wrong!

General Commenti read an article about gch that said travvy wrote this song about his cousin who committed suicide.

the thing i love most about this song is how honest it is. i think no matter who it's about the fact that it's pretty straightfoward being about suicide is really cool, like how he's not afraid to let people know exactly what's going through his mind, no matter how bad it is. this may just be because i love them and think most stuff they do is genius, though, haha.

and i love cream247's explanation, too. there's something about it that's really eloquent.
