"Boy" as written by Christopher John Guglielmo, Nick Ghanbarian, Jack A O'shea and Anthony S Raneri....
He can't make senses of this
He just too normal
And this place is too scary
He's so scared that he'll miss
He keeps on in hiding and restless and wanting

What if for one minute he was given a chance
And he does something brilliant
But he'll rather not know
His walls protect him
His bedroom's a prison

Now is your chance boy just ignore the dreadful things they say
Go on give up you'll never win no crying now there watching him
His blood will boil and the kids will sing
Learn to drown before learn to swim

If he took his time to prepare the data the shell
Alone's an addiction
Such a comforting place a common mistake
A dry wishing well

Now is your chance boy just ignore the dreadful things they say
Go on give up you'll never win no crying now there watching him
His blood will boil and the kids will sing
Learn to drown before learn to swim

So go on give up you'll never win
Oh what a mistake
He is charcoal within he can never drive by them
Just stands on the stage with a grin
But he drops at his knees
And he's waiting for anything he can believe in
He's lost he just wants to be ordinary

Now is your chance boy just ignore the dreadful things they say
Go on give up you'll never win no crying now there watching him
His blood will boil and the kids will sing
Learn to drown before learn to swim

Go on give up you'll never win no crying now there watching him
His blood will boil and the kids will sing
Learn to drown before learn to swim

Go on give up you'll never win no crying now there watching him
His blood will boil and the kids will sing
Learn to drown before learn to swim

Go on give up you'll never win no crying now there watching him
Go on give up you'll never win

General CommentI think it says "blows an addiction" at your little question mark there.

General Commentthis song is fucking great! i love the chorus-y bit,
'go on, give up, you'll never win
no crying now, they're watching him
his blood will boil, the kids will sing.
learn to drown before you learn to swim.'

    awesome :)

General CommentI think the songs about accepting failure if you want to succeed... that's what it means by "learn to drown before you learn to swim"

General CommentI think this song is somewhat like "They looked like strong hands" in the sense that it could be about Anthony in his early stages of their career. Like going up on stage and getting stage fright and feeling that people will judge him.

Great Gang vocals at the end though. It really makes for a powerful desperate sounding chorus.

General CommentThis is a good song. I think it's about putting motivation to a misfit/outcast.

General CommentI think this song is about listening to yourself and not letting other peoples' destructive criticism keep you from accomplishing something.
