We will never sleep, 'cause sleep is for the weak
And we will never rest, 'til we're all fucking dead
We will never sleep, 'cause sleep is for the weak
And we will never rest, 'til we're all fucking dead
We will never sleep, 'cause sleep is for the weak
And we will never rest, 'til we're all fucking dead
We will never sleep, 'cause sleep is for the weak
And we will never rest, 'til we're all fucking dead
We will never sleep, 'cause sleep is for the weak
And we will never rest, 'til we're all fucking dead
We will never sleep, 'cause sleep is for the weak
And we will never rest, 'til we're all fucking dead

I refuse, I refuse
I refuse to close my eyes

I have loved, and I have lost
I have turned, and I have tossed
I have listened, and I have watched
I've gave into this for long enough
I have lost, and I have loved
Sleep has stolen far too much
So don't close your eyes, not just yet
Sleep is just a cousin of death

I've said it before, and I'll say it again
If you think you're alive then you're better off dead
I've said it before, and I'll say it again
If you think you're alive then you're better off
I've said it before, and I'll say it again
If you think you're alive then you're better off dead
I've said it before, and I'll say it again
If you think you're alive then you're better off dead

I have loved, and I have lost
I have turned, and I have tossed
I have listened, and I have watched
I've gave into this for long enough
I have lost, and I have loved
Sleep has stolen far too much
So don't close your eyes, not just yet
Sleep is just a cousin of death

So throw your diamonds in the sky, we'll stay gold forever

So throw your diamonds in the sky, we'll stay gold forever

I can promise you one thing, death will take us all
I can promise you one thing, you will die alone

We're all going to Hell, we may as well go out in style
Death is a promise, and your life is a fucking lie

We will never sleep, 'cause sleep is for the weak
And we will never rest, 'til we're all fucking dead
We will never sleep, 'cause sleep is for the weak
And we will never rest, 'til we're all fucking dead

I refuse, I refuse
I refuse to close my eyes

Okay so I'm not a total 100% sure what this song is about nor do I TOTALLY know what this whole album is about but ; A little bird once told me this album is about is Ollie's friend's dad died . And his friend was COMPLETELY torn up about it so he ended up committing suicide . And is his suicide note cough cough - refrencing from other songs (; He blamed Ollie for his death an all because Ollie was trying to help him . Also i say this because in Suicide season a couple of the verse's in the song is ; "The day you lost him, I slowly lost you too For when he died, he took a part of you" lyricsmania.com/suicide_season_lyrics_bring_me_the_horizon.html -"If only sorrow could build a staircase, or tears could show the way We would climb our way to Heaven, and bring him home again We would do anything to bring him back to you We would do anything to end what you're going through" lyricsmania.com/suicide_season_lyrics_bring_me_the_horizon.html

Okay , since we got that understanding in place , Diamonds in some case's are a street name for "meth" . And i bring this up is because i did some research and this song brings up a couple verse's about how 'sleep takes too much of your life' - You can't sleep on meth . And if you look at all the lyrics to the song , you'll see . If i'm right about all of this , i hope i helped a whole bunch ! (:

k joshgrwk, its fine you have an opinion, but keep your negativity off these band's lyric pages. obviously we dont give a fuck of what you think because we all ENJOY this kind of music. we all appreciate bring me the horizon, so do you think you can 'convert' us, or make us agree with you? no sir.. this is not cliche. bmth has been around for a good 5 years, just as long as atreyu. and they're from the UK, unlike both atreyu and a7x. Their music isn't even close to a7x. If anything, other bands are imitations of bmth, NOT the other way around. BMTH screams originality, and i have my reasons why i think so, just no time to list all of them. learn your shit before you speak, please and thank you.

    Song Meaning

This song is about not wasting your life!

I never EVER understood "if you think you're alive, well you're better off fucking dead", it didn't really seem to fit in with Rawwwr, and I never thought about it too much. But now I totally get it with this song!

If you think you're living life how it's supposed to be - you're better off dead. People living their lives according to some religious book, heaven is what they're promised after death. No no, they've got it all wrong. We're all going to hell, so quit restricting yourself for some fuckin' book and go out in style.

Sleep is associated with death, it's a common saying. Diamonds are forever also a common saying - but wrong. nothing is forever, including a sparkly stone.

Refuse to lay back and close your eyes. Wake up. Fucking Live.

I LOVE this song, it's so clever.

joejackoff - good eye catching the reference to 'rawrrr' lyrics. caught that one too. any true bmth fan knows that line from that song.. well done. i heard this song about 2 months ago at warped, obviously before this song was released.. i've been waiting and waiting to own this song!!

so, i think this song is trying to say -don't sleep [sit around] wasting your life away.
i love 'death is a promise and your life is a fucking lie' - so good. =] meaning, you live your life as if you're never going to die [sitting there, waiting around like you have all the time in the world to accomplish anything] but yet death is inevitable [sp?].. and the reference to rawwrrrr lyrics ["and if you think you're alive, well you're better off fucking dead"] when he says 'i've said it once and i'll say it again if you think you're alive then you're better off dead'. i interperet this as him meaning 'if you think you're the shit and you think you've got it all, then just go fuck yourself, cause theres no need for arrogance and cocky-ness.. tell me if im missing the point there.

im not really sure on the meaning of the song but i do belive that it has to do with the same girl from the song RAWWWRR cuz he even says "i've sed it before and ill say it again" "if you think ur alive ur better off dead" as for RAWWWRR he says "if you think your alive your better off fucking dead" so thats my guess on that

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
