"Paradise Lost" as written by Don Gilmore, Aron Erlickman and George Ragen....
So watch my chest heave
As this last breath leaves me
I am trying to be
What you're dying to see

I feel like "fuck man,
Can't take this, anymore,
This heart, break this."
This is life that's so thankless,
How could he just forsake us?

Breaks us he makes us
Hate us he gave us
Nothing but no trust
And I am so fucked up
So let this gun bond us
Let's hide by this lust
And once we are just dust
He'll know that he loved us

Let it all burn
I will burn first
God I've tried, am I lost in your eyes?
Just let me burn, it's what I deserve.
God I've lied, am I lost in your eyes?

So take me and make me
Weakened and save me
This hate that you gave me
Keeps saying the same thing

To sing when you hurt
And to sing when you cry
To sing when you live
And to sing when you die

And here at the end
At the end of the hurt
All the pain ain't the same
When it's your turn to burn
We're the heart for the heartless,
The thoughts for the thoughtless,
The eyes for the eyeless
We're the gods of the godless!

Let it all burn
I will burn first
God I've tried, am I lost in your eyes?
Just let me burn, it's what I deserve.
God I've lied, am I lost in your eyes?

So cry 3 tears for me,
When it's all gone,
Sing me this song

So cry 3 tears for me,
When it's all gone,
When it's all gone

I can not stand
Who I am I'm this man
With this blood on my hands
In this blood I am damned
So watch my wings burn
As they burn in the fire
I'll scatter the ashes
No need for the choir

Let it all burn
I will burn first
God I've tried, am I lost in your eyes?
Just let me burn, it's what I deserve.
God I've lied, am I lost in your eyes?

This hate that you gave me keeps saying
Just let me burn,
Just let me burn

This hate that you gave me keeps saying
Just let me burn,
Just let me burn

Burn
Now
Burn

Just let me burn
Now
Burn

Burn!

My OpinionThis song has heavy references to the actual text Paradise lost. the song as a whole, I can't interpret, because to me it's to general. But you can pick specific lines out that I think are references to Satan falling from grace.

And as for the guy below me.
    Shut the fuck up.
It's people like you that do not respect other religions or lack thereof that make me sick. It's people like you that make us other Christians look bad. Some people don't believe in god, so accept it. This country was built on the basis of separation of church and state for a reason.

General CommentWow, this song came out of left field on the album. It's pretty much the complete opposite of everything else on it.

General CommentAmazing song, love it :-).

Only one thing to object about in the lyrics, where it says

"The lies for the liars" is it not:

"The lies for the honest"? I think it makes more sense.

General CommentGreat song =) I love all their shit so much.

p.s. Lol I think it's funny when people don't believe in God just because their life isn't perfect.
mattehMONSTER, free will is the reason God doesn't step in. Why should he have to clean up what our own race did? Not like we had to destroy this world, it's not his fault, why should he have to fix it?

General CommentIts not up to God where you'll end up after you're dead. Its up to you and the things you do as a person and to others. Any religion is a decision made by its believer, I dont knock any of them. I love God and the things that happen in life arent up to us, I could pray all day and live the most honest life but still die tomorrow from a hemroid infection. But hey shit happens =] And atleast I know where Im going and I dont leave that up to God. Its my decision and Heaven's for me. Biitches.

My Opinioni don't know if anyone said this but, paradise lost is the name of a documentary about three teenagers who were found guilty of the murder of three young boys. they were charged, tried, convicted, and sentenced without a murder weapon, motive, or physical evidence to link them to the crime. Recent developments in the case have since all but proven them completely innocent in the murders, yet they remain in prison, with one on death row. many believe they are innocent, including the victims' parents, and were only targeted because of the way they dressed and the music they listened to. many artists have shown their support through their music. some of them include alkaline trio, pearl jam, the dixie chicks, and i believe hollywood undead. if you read about the case, the song seems to make sense.
