"Down From The Sky" as written by and Corey/gregoletto Beaulieu....
A chasm grows
With the cavity of serpentine teeth
(Serpentine teeth)

Hunger pains strike
For the sweet feast of innocent blood
Of innocent bloodshed

Now here we go

The vampires feed on the wars of mankind
The vampires feed on the wars of mankind

Growing fat on the throne of an empire
Tyrant rules with the threat of a great fire

I've opened up my eyes
Seen the world for what it's worth
Tears rain down from the sky

They'll blow it all to bits
To prove whose god wields all the power
Fire rains down from the sky

The gaping wounds
Hemorrhaging the blood from which they feast
(Blood from which they feast)

Eat us alive
Consume to feed a hunger with no
A hunger with no end
Let's fucking go

The vampires feed on the wars of mankind
The vampires feed on the wars of mankind

Growing fat on the throne of an empire
Tyrant rules with the threat of a great fire

I've opened up my eyes
Seen the world for what it's worth
Tears rain down from the sky

They'll blow it all to bits
To prove whose god wields all the power
Fire rains down from the sky

This battle's not the same
Which they have led us to believe

A synthesis of propaganda
Terror and deceit

We are the cattle
They the slaughter
Our meat, gasoline

They pump us through the machine's valves
To cleanse the world's "disease"
We are the ammunition
That will cause all life to cease

Annihilate
All those who stand in their way
Obliterate
They'll rain their holocaust
Down from the sky

The vampires feed on the wars of mankind
The vampires feed on the wars of mankind

Growing fat on the throne of an empire
Tyrant rules with the threat of a great fire

I've opened up my eyes
Seen the world for what it's worth
Tears rain down from the sky

They'll blow it all to bits
To prove whose god wields all the power
Fire rains down from the sky

Annihilate

All those who stand in their way
Obliterate
They'll rain their holocaust
Down from the sky

General CommentThis song has some rad guitaring! Whilst there does seem to be some mention of religion "To prove whose God wields all the power", I think it is mostly about society being falsely led to believe what governments want them to.

Just my two cents (dbro46) - you can blame Jesus all you want for wars but his word instructed peace and love towards one another. Horrible things were done by "christians" during the crusades but this in reaction to (if I remember correctly) losing land to Muslim invaders (the crusades did not even manage to reclaim this back) and caused by religious leaders abusing their political power and telling soldiers that they would be forgiven of all sin if they fought.

Sure, religion can give reason to go to war for some, but so can food, freedom and human equality. You don't really hear people bitching about these though do you?

General CommentThe vampires being the American or even any goverment. Taking advantage and profiting from the lives and blood of the soldiers lost in war.

This song means even more now after the Deaths at Fort Hood

General CommentThink this is how people use religion to justify their evil actions. There will probably be a damn Jihad some time in the future. The problem is with our technology with one nuke "They'll blow it all to bits
To prove whose God wields all the power." It's sad because of someone's stupid faith we are all gonna have to pay.

General CommentI think there's nothing about religion. It's about the industry and the oil companies waging wars

General Commentits a shame people resort to violence, i've never heard of a religion that actually promotes violence or terrorism...people who do these acts and claim that they are true followers of their religion are pathetic, there are bad apples in every religion, group, society, but they don't speak for us all..i don't know what they are following but they certainly aren't following Christianity/Islam or any other well known religion.

awesome song, a nice comeback from trivium...cool video too!
