The power of the pussy is un-fucking-believable
Especially when these heathen hoes be feeding their egos
Shooting us down like they were doing some free throws
It’s curious when guys treat girls like they’re heros
It tends to happen when their bank account has more zeros
And yet I was in love once
And love punched me in the face
Kicked me in the nuts
Left me on the ground drowning in my own blood.
So excuse me if I sound a little sarcastic
Cupid got his ass kicked after that happened
Sat down and had a little chat with the bastard
And said look bitch,
“I know people that know people that kill people.
And we can make it look like it wasn’t illegal.”
Leave you in the hills where the hillbillies stay.
They eat little people like you up there ok?
shove an apple in your mouth, roast you over hay.
I ain’t playin’ little man we can go today.
He shook his head and said,
“look I don’t make the rules I’m sorry,
I just got the tools, I’m just doing my job
If you want to change the rules man talk to god.
But I can tell you one thing.
Have more women then you ever could have dreamed.
I swear to god man you’ll be living like a king.
It’s simple just listen to the song that I sing.
Talk to me come on walk with me
We got a lot to see I want to offer thee
A little kiss, a little bit of mystery
A little bliss and we can make history
I wanna dance
I wanna pull of your pa…
I mean romance
I wanna kiss your hands
I wanna fu… uh…
I just wanna love you girl
I wanna hug
I wanna cuddle girl.

Back in the days it was all fun and games
It was sunny days and passionate nights
We’d get mad and have passionate fights
And then the grudge fuck, yeah.
The make up sex.
Because love sucks, we gotta make the best
And the best stress reliever is a big ol’ chest
Double D’s and whatever troubled me left
And I know you girls are thinking
oh man, what a pervert I’m so glad my man ain’t like you
Oh he is too, he was at rick’s on Tuesday till two.
Practically had to drag him out the champagne room
With cupid and two strippers doing their best to him.
But cupid ain’t stupid he had a plan to use.
Get us both liquored up, stumbling drunk
Shoved his 9 in our face, tied us both up. What the fuck?
He said, “ohh, you tried to play me homie?
I’m an OG, I should be your ass for the fun of it.
Leave you in the ocean with the sharks and the sunken ships.
I know god, why don’t you tell me what your working with.
But I know I know, you just trying to save face.
Girl broke your heart, now you play the blame game.
If I were in your shoes I’d probably do the same thing.
But next time remember the song that I sing

Talk to me come on walk with me
We got a lot to see I want to offer thee
A little kiss, a little bit of mystery
A little bliss and we can make history
I wanna dance
I wanna pull of your pa…
I mean romance
I wanna kiss your hands
I wanna fu… uh…
I just wanna love you girl
I wanna hug
I wanna cuddle girl (x2)

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Amazing

Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
