"Please Come In" as written by Bob Marlette, Richard Young, Chris Robertson, John Young, Ben Wells and Jon Lawhorn....
I have looked out my window
You know shes no longer there

There's an angel standing
In a place where she wont care

Couldn't be that easy
For her to say goodbye

[Chorus]
Please come in
Don't pretend
Like the girl I had before
Please come in
Don't pretend
I don't wanna hurt anymore

It must be the time
For me to leave it behind

Cause there's a new day out there
Where the sun will always shine

[Chorus]

If you look out the window
And there's an angel there
I hope she plays a guitar
With flowers, flowers in her hair.

Please come in
But don't pretend
Wont you please come in
Listen baby

[Chorus]

Don't you pretend.

General CommentI think this song is beautiful.

'I have looked out my window,
And, you know, she's no longer there,
There's an angel standing in the place,
    well she won't care.
Coulden't be that easy, for her to say goodbye.'
---> I think what he means here is that, I was seein this girl before hand, and he must of adored her coz he says 'angel' but its like she just walked out on him without sayin goodbye.

    'Please come in, don't pretend,
Like the girl I had before.
    Please come in, don't pretend,
    I don't wanna hurt anymore.'
---> And now he's meet a new girl and its like, I wanna be with you, but I don't want to get hurt again.

I know its a pretty simple explanation, but I think its just basically he's learnin to trust in love again after havin his heart so badly broken. Also when he sings this song theres a hint of saddness. Lol I can't explain it, but I'm going through the same thing at the moment and its exhausting lol. x

Song MeaningMeaning is all relative to the listeners personal experiences. I think this is a great song. It seems to be about kinda what I am currently dealing with. He has gotten hurt pretty bad by this person, and he has since met someone new but the hurt seems pretty fresh. Like he is dwelling on the pain and the ex, but if he does he will shut the new one out. He invites her in just because he needs to. You can't hold on to anything new if you can let go of the old. He is taking it as maybe inviting her in should be a sign that it is time to let go.
