"The Way I Am" as written by and Aaron/mushok Lewis....
I'm not very good at just paying attention
I'm not very good at remembering things that you say
I'm not very good at pursuing redemption
I'm not very good at concealing the hand that I play

[Chorus]
It's the way I am, you'll never change
The way I am, or rearrange
The way I am, just let me be
The way I am, it's the way I am

I'm not really sure of the coming attractions
I'm not really sure of the illusions we read on the wall
I'm not really sure of the preaching we practice
I'm not really sure if we'll notice it before we fall

[Chorus]

I'm not very good at just paying attention
I'm not very good at remembering things
I'm not very good at pursuing redemption
I'm not very good at concealing the hand that I play

When I'm trying so hard just to beat you
I'm not really good at controlling my fate
I'm not really good at controlling my anger
I'm not really good at subduing my hate
I'm not really good
I'm not really good
I'm not really good

[Chorus]

General CommentI'm pretty sure the the line is "I'm not really sure of the preaching we practice". Oh and this is just a great song

General Commentim not really good, im not really good, im not really gooooooooooooooooooooooooood!!!!!!!!!!.
this song speaks so honestly, to me and to anyone that has faced problems in thier lives.
It is an anthem to all of us that wish we could do better, want to do better. But we accept reality, we accept who we are. We want more, but just have to accept what we really are. (not really good)

General Commenti adore this song, having just got the album its one that's stood out at me, it represents tons of feelings when growing up i'd say, if you don't let society or others bully you around.

General CommentThis song fits so many kinds of struggles, and I think it serves for my own struggle with alcoholism. It's consumed who I am, and nobody can 'rearrange' or 'change' it anymore. It's, quite literally, just the way I am, no matter how hard I try to kick the habit. And believe me, I've tried so hard 'just to beat [it]'.
