I'm not scared but this is happening
I'm not afraid but this is real
This is real

It all comes at once
From every single direction
This time I'm not
I'm not sleeping at all

How could this be real?
I've failed you
I've failed you

I was lying when I said
I was looking north
I was too scared to show
What I am
Bear with me, bear with me
This is all I have left
This might be more
Than a simple
Conversation
Conversation

It's been dancing around in my head
For quite some time
Just the though
Of cleaning up myself

I was lying when I said
I was looking north
I was too scared to show
What I am
Bear with me, bear with me
This is all I have left
This might be more
Than a simple
Conversation

I'm not sleeping
I'm not sleeping at all

I stare at the wall
Watching my time float away
It's all been a blur
And nothing will change
I stare at the wall
Watching my time float away
It's all been a blur
And nothing will change

I was lying
I was lying
I was lying
I was lying
I was lying
I was lying
This is defeat

I think its like a part two if you look at the lyrics from define the great line - To whom it may concern Spencer sings It's time for you to press on This is not your war Set your sights to North and press on This is not your escape Wash away what they thought of you Because in the end we're all as good as dead ...end cycle...

and now he says he was lying when he was looking north... But good song its has good meaning he was feeling guilty and hes letting us know now hes coming clean...we all make mistakes so its all good

Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,
