There is a certain place where no one goes, ooh
And that's where I hope to find you
I'm beside myself in a panicked state
Just yell as loud as you can
If you can

In this foreign place I've never known, ooh
I heard a voice,
Was that you?
I've arrived too late
Searching for life
Or it's staying still as it can, as it can

No one would even know if you can, ooh
Let me tell you how I've been
Climbing to the tops of the mountains
Back down to where I began
Losing myself on the way
I've been climbing to the bottom of the canyons
Finding myself on the way
Finding myself on the way
On the way, on the way, on the way, on the way

General Commenti feel like this song is about his life in general. he feels like he's missed out on things and has made mistakes and eventually found himself. kenny grew up in the music industry and i think that has a lot to do with this song. he had to climb up to the top, then he decided to start over and write for the love of music and not just write what people tell him to. so now he's back at the bottom again. "in this foreign place i've never known" i think is about being on his own making music and not having to care about anyone elses opinions. believe it or not even though it's a slow mellow song i think it's a very happy song about self realization.

but hey, that's just my opinion.

General CommentIn the last verse, about finding yourself in a "canyon" - you can only find out what you truly want and who you really are when you hit rock bottom.
