"Vengeance Is Mine" as written by Saul Hudson, Greg Hampton, Alice Cooper and Danny Saber....
They hated every part of me
Expect me to forget it
They tried so hard to bury me
But I survived it every time

Convicted of every crime
Silently doing time
But when I get outta here
I wanna make it clear

Vengeance is mine
Vengeance is mine, mine, mine
To forgive is divine
But vengeance is mine, mine, mine

They tortured every inch of me
Then expect me to forget it
They thought that they would finish me
But I pull through every time

Punish me everyday
But I'll never break
Hold on to all your fears
'Cause when I get outta here

Vengeance is mine
Vengeance is mine, mine, mine
To forgive is divine
But vengeance is mine, mine, mine

(Vengeance, Vengeance, Vengeance, Vengeance)

What I want
(Vengeance, Vengeance, Vengeance, Vengeance)

What I need
(Vengeance, Vengeance, Vengeance, Vengeance, Vengeance, Vengeance, Vengeance)

What I want, What I need, What I want, What I need
(Vengeance, Vengeance, Vengeance, Vengeance, Vengeance, Vengeance, Vengeance)

What I want, What I need, What I want, What I need
(Vengeance, Vengeance, Vengeance, Vengeance, Vengeance, Vengeance, Vengeance)

(Vengeance, Vengeance, Vengeance, Vengeance, Vengeance... Vengeance)

Vengeance is mine, mine, mine
To forgive is divine
Not as rewarding I find
Because vengeance is mine

Vengeance is mine, mine, mine
Vengeance is mine
Vengeance is mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine

General CommentNo this song is part of the story of the Spider, the killer in the album. It's him saying when he gets out of jail or the nut house he'll get payback/revenge/vengeance.

General CommentI believe this song is about the earlier part of his phenomenal career. It's about everyone doubting and not agreeing with his lyrics and music in general. The 'man' tried to stop him in any way possible but couldn't and here he is still standing and perservering through the scrutiny and doing very well as a musical genius. He, in my opinion, is saying "Yeah, you doubted me and my music at first, but my career speaks for itself" so, 'Vengence is Mine'

General CommentBetween this and I am the spider for best song on the album. Though this song is closest to being anything like what IMO was his best recent Album: Brutal Planet. I know Alice has decided to strip down his albums for the more basic sounds. As evident by this album and the previous two. I only hope he will do one more heavy album with a 'produced' sound to it. But if not, I am still happy to get some new alice any time....as long as he does not put out some gospel album :P

General CommentThis is the only song on the album that stuck in my mind - nice chorus. Mind you, I've only heard two thirds of it; then I got bored & gave up. I wish I could like it more, but it seems so - antiseptic. Rock by numbers. Come on, Alice, you're better than this!
