"100 in a 55" as written by and Dylan Allison Anthony Greve....
Turn back on the broken hearted
Some things are just meant to be
I still believe that we got a chance
I still believe that we got a chance to be
Too much is never enough
And too little to never enough
Full speed got me looking out my rear view
I can't go back

Going a 100 in a 55
And I don't know why I'm still alive
But I do what I can
But I know I can't take anymore
I still believe in this rock n roll
N I pray the music gon' save my soul
But Til then I still believe
Some things are just meant to be

It's messed up but I got this mission
Drunk again won't remember anyway
She said it's just a game boy
Don't be gone
Don't be gone for long
Ten years I been doing this forever
It's all I know baby please don't turn away
I know you don't believe in me
But I do believe in you

Doin' a 100 in a 55
And I don't know why I'm still alive
I do what I can but I know I can't take anymore
I still believe in this rock n roll
And I pray the music gon' save my soul
But til then I still believe
Some things are just meant to be

I'm still falling
Away from here
Away from here
I'm still falling
This winds are falling on
I can't go back
I'm in too deep

Going a 100 in a 55
And I don't know why I'm still alive
But I do what I can
But I know I can't take anymore
I still believe in this rock n roll
N I pray the music gon' save my soul
But until then I still believe
Something

Goin' 100 in a 55
And I don't know why I'm still alive
But I do what I can but I know I can't take anymore
I can't take more baby
I still believe in this rock n roll
And I pray this music gon' save my soul
But 'til then
I still believe
Some things are just meant to be
I still believe
Some things are just meant to be
I still believe
Some things are just meant to be

yeah

I still believe
Some things are just meant to be

General CommentThis song is great. Its about heartbreak! When I hear this I thought of my own line.

Some time you gotta knock off the mirrors of your car so you dont look back and speed on down the road and live live to the fullest. Once you get back on the road you feel like you can go far!

Memoryheard this song on sirius the other day and fell in love with it, i can really relate to absolutely every lyric in this song..

    Goin’ 100 in a 55 and I don’t know why I’m still alive but I
Do what I can but I know I can’t take anymore
I still believe in this rock and roll
And I pray the music gonna save my soul
But till then I still believe some things are just meant to be

experiencing my first heartbreak right now, and just listening to music that "saves my soul"

"I know you don't believe in me
But I do believe in you"

amazing, completely how I feel. he gave up on me, but i still have hope and faith in him that we will be together.

General CommentJust heard this today, possibly my new favorite song! I like that it's almost self referencing...being a song and singing "still believe in this rock and roll" and "pray the music gonna save my soul". Awesome.

General Commentthis is a great song.

i think the song is about living life to the fullest.
i also think its about a relationship that is falling apart very fast, but he still believes in the relationship.

    idk, just my interpation.

General CommentThe song is about how he is living so fast that he lost someone he loved because of his ignorance to that fact. In the chorus, it sounds like whatever it is that he has lost has turned him to become an alcoholic without him realizing it until he really thinks about it.
I can see some deeper meaning in the chorus though.. in a completely different sense, the chorus is me exactly. Music is my life, and i have had my fair share of screwups and whatnot. I just recently took a step to fix my way of life.. ive slowed way down on my drinking, which i used to every night. I remember getting home and saying f*** it and getting drunk every night. Ive lost my fair share of friends, whether it be to my way of doing things, my beliefs, a disagrement, something i didnt like about them, or something which i have yet to find out. It is about a learning curve that everyone goes through. All of us do, and it may be sooner rather than later for some of us, but carefully looking at each part of the song you can get a deeper and sometimes a more obscure meaning to different parts, vs looking at the enitre song which can bring an entirely different meaning that what you look at in sections.. anyone get where im coming from?

General CommentTurn back on the broken heartache
Some things are just meant to be
I still believe that we got a chance
Still believe that we got a chance to be

(Looking in the past and believes he still has a chance with a girl who broke his heart before)

Too much is never enough and (Too much love is never enough)
Too little is never enough (Too little love is never enough)

Full speed got me looking out my rear view
    I cant go back

(Living life fast, but looking back, saying I can't go back though)

    Chorus:
Goin 100 in a 55 and I dont know why Im still alive but I
Do what I can but I know I cant take anymore
I still believe in this rock and roll
And I pray the music gonna save my soul
But till then I still believe some things are just meant to be

(living life fast, living to rock and roll, hoping its the right thing to follow your love for music, but some things are meant to be either way)

It's messed up but I got this mission (Gotta do what I gotta do)
Drunk again wont remember anyway (self explainatory)
She said its just a game boy (Life is a game)
Dont be gone dont be gone for long (Just come back after you are done)
Ten years Ive been doing this forever
Its all I know baby please dont turn away (He only knows how to do music, don't leave him because of it)
I know you dont believe in me
But I do believe in you

    Im still falling
    Away from here
    Away from here
    Im still falling
    The wings are falling off
    I cant go back
    Im in too deep

(Basically, saying he is a fallen angel)

    I still believe
Some things are just meant to be
