"Upside" as written by James Patrick Glennie, Lawrence Gott and Timothy Booth....
Send seasonal greetings from nowhere
I'm working and playing away
Remember the moment of leaving
Yesterday, yesterday

Roll through these towns, over seas, over mountains
Lucky to work when work is scarce
Father must feed, must provide, he must fountain
Left my heart within your care

Upside, love you, downside, miss you
I'm here, you are there
Upside, working, downside, hurting
Hear my echo, dancing bear

Connected to you by a mobile
What I can't do, I can say
Away from you, I'm feeling empty
I am raining, I am gray

Upside, love you, downside, miss you
I'm here, you are there
Upside, working, downside, hurting
Hear my echo, dancing bear

My work's about words and sounds you can taste
Violins and trumpets, chocolate cakes
Here are some words, words you can taste
Here are some words, kissing your face

Upside, love you, downside, miss you
I'm here, you are there
Upside, working, downside, hurting
Hear my echo, dancing bear

General CommentThis song really relates to me right now.

I go to university miles away from my home town.
I went home for the holiday and met a guy, we instantly clicked, spent the whole holiday together
I had to go back to university. we are miles apart from each other. We talk every day. (Connected to you by a mobile)
We can't visit each other because we are too busy working (Im here you are there.
    Upside: working
    Downside: hurting )

All I can think about is how much I miss him. I hope we see each other soon, it would be a great disappointment if distance tears us apart. Its great having him (Upside: Love you) but all we want to do is see each other (Downside: Miss you)

Tim Booth, you are a star

General CommentTim Booth said in the concert he gave in Mexico that he wrote this song after reading an article about how mexican workers have to leave their homes, to go north, crossing the Bravo River, to go work on the California Strawberry Fields.
