My whole life has been
Running with the wind,
And playing with the cowards.
It's so hard to see -
I'm fractured within,
A poet in the window.
We're bastards and thieves,
We're lovers and saints,
We're holding on to morning.
In the shadows I will be
Til the sunlight melts away,
Til we die here of murder.

Hero, fill me up with love.
Hero, fill me up with love.
With love, with love, with love
Say goodbye when you leave,
Remember to grieve -
Remember to listen.
It's getting harder to be
The son you want of me,
The son I'll never be.
Hero, fill me up with love.
With love, with love, with love.

General CommentThis album seems to be dealing with a death of a loved one, coming to terms with what can and cannot be said. Feeling resentment and guilt over that resentment. I think the "hero" here is a parent, and I like how each verse intermingles positive and negative feelings.
