Well, here we are again
Throwing punchlines, no one wins
As the morning sun begins to rise, we're fading fast
And we won't work this out

No, we're not gonna work this out tonight
(We won't work this out) no, we're not gonna make this right
So I'll give a kiss and say goodbye
(Give a kiss goodbye) 'cause we're not gonna work this out, tonight

Every single word's been said (whoa-oh-oh)
Broke each other's hearts again (ohh-oh-oh)
As the starlit sky begins to shine, we're breaking down
She screams out

No, we're not gonna work this out tonight
(We won't work this out) no, we're not gonna make this right
So I'll give a kiss and say goodbye
(Give a kiss goodbye) 'cause we're not gonna work this out, tonight

(Oh, oh, tonight, tonight, oh, oh, oh) we don't have to fight, tonight
(Oh, oh, tonight, tonight, oh, oh, oh) we just gotta try
Tonight (we gotta work this out)
(Oh, oh, tonight, tonight, oh, oh, oh) we don't have to fight, tonight
(Oh, oh, tonight, tonight, oh, oh, oh) we just gotta try
Tonight

No, we're not gonna work this out tonight
(We won't work this out) no, we're not gonna make this right
So I'll give a kiss and say goodbye
(Give a kiss goodbye) 'cause we're not gonna work this out, tonight

Well, there's no need to fight, we're just wasting time
(Tonight) if you give it a try well then maybe you'll find
(We might work this out) well, we know we're in love so let's keep it alive
Keep it alive, keep it alive (tonight)
I'm starting to see the morning light
We finally worked this out

I just downloaded this song off of iTunes and I love it!

but there's a few corrections in the lyrics, I think. This is what it sounds like to me, but I couldn't understand a couple lines at the end..

Well here we are again Throwing punch lines, no one wins As the morning sun begins to rise We're fading fast We won't work this out

No, we're not gonna work this out tonight (We won't work this out) No, we're not gonna make this right So I'll give a kiss and say goodbye (Give a kiss goodbye) 'Cause we're not gonna work this out tonight

We don't have to fight tonight We just gotta try tonight We don't have to fight tonight We just gotta try tonight

No, we're not gonna work this out tonight (We won't work this out) No, we're not gonna make this right So I'll give a kiss and say goodbye (Give a kiss goodbye) 'Cause we're not gonna work this out tonight

To all this fighting, we're just wasting time (Tonight) We're gonna give it a try and then maybe you'll find (We might work this out) ? (We might work this out) ? (Tonight) ? morning light (We finally worked this out)

Here's the thing about the Jonas Brothers:

They CAN sing. And they ARE extremely attractive. And they have the potential to make really good music. Mandy, on their first CD, was an excellent song. The style sounds good, the lyrics are creative, and its a fun, original song. But pretty much the rest of the CD, except possibly a couple not-so-awful songs, TOTALLY SUCKS! The writing is awful, and the sound is crappy.

And their second CD. It was pop perfection. The sound was fun, the singing was good, and all the songs flowed well. But it was boring. It was pop crap, and no matter how well you sing pop crap, its still crap. The songs got very boring after a while, and while they weren't so awful, they were far from very good.

But I'm really hopeful about their new CD. Burnin' Up is fun, and a little more interesting. Pushin Me Away is still kind of poppy and pretty much like their old CD, but it's alright. A Little Bit Longer is pretty, and sad, and about something different then "love" and girls and petty drama. And this song. This song is brilliant. It's similar to the style of Mandy, and it's about ten times better. It's fun. It sounds really good. The lyrics are different then their usual. It's almost unrecognizable from their pop crap on the last CD. I really hope there are more good songs like this on the new CD!

i love the jonas brothers XD some of their songs are kinda childish, like lovebug. but they CAN sing and they do have a lot of good songs. they are a whole lot better than miley cyrus! who doesn't have class and CAN'T sing to save her life.

    that's my opinion XD

this is probably my favorite song by them. i think it sounds more mature and i think it sounds really good.

it looks like it's about a boy and a girl who have broken up many times. they try to work it out but it never seems to work. i'm getting the vibe that when they break up they fight but there are no hard feelings (So I'll give a kiss and say goodbye). then in the end they finally work it out.

    My Opinion

this isn't music. this is banal pop major label bullshit.

Led Zeppelin is music. Jimi Hendrix is music. Death From Above 1979 is music. Tool is music. and Nirvana is music.

these bands talked about things that mattered, and played their music with motherfucking heart.

but not The Jonas Brothers. this is pure fucking filth. this is garbage and you people who like them make me and many other people fucking SICK.

Cajun Girl

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
